I got one of the maslow from the first kickstarter batch... Never got it running as everyone was reporting rubbish results and tried converting it to xy and then i found the lowrider and just built that last year
What did you receive as part of the kit? From memory you needed to provide your own router?

Late to the thread, sorry.....
Another contact would be Tony at Atomick Laser in Lower Hutt (www.routercut.co.nz). He has built most of the equipment he runs (2400 by 1200 CNC, 1200 by 1200 3 axis CNC, 2 1200 x 1200 Lasers etc) and is a genuine nice guy to boot.
I've looked at that Maslo but I dont know if the accuracy would be there? It relies a lot on the weight of the router to prevent it torquing off all over the place.

I grew up a townie but had enough friends out on farms that most weekends were spent getting up to mischief with rifles and all manner of farm equipment (and hay barns, but thats for the dating fails thread).
Friends had 3 bikes but being 12 I learnt to ride on the smallest one, the XL100. Did so much on that bike, even moved a herd of cows about 6k's down the road on my own with 2 dogs, not bad for a 12 yr old townie. Can only remember one "off" (though I'm sure there were more!). Was racing around a paddock one day, tipped into a fast right hander and the bike slid out for under me, somehow I stayed upright but fell back down on the bike so ended up lying with my back on the fuel tank looking at the clouds while it slid another few metres into a fence.....
Great times.

Yes as long as there is no sharp edges that could damage a pedestrian
So exposed spinning lawn mower blades might not get past then....
Cheers dude, work can now continue with a certain goal in mind.

Someone was asking about bumpers too too far back, could have same answer. I'd go look, but I just got assigned trench digging duty.
Was probably me cos memory is shit, but I was too lazy to go back for a look....

Another question for the gestalt (If I can be so bold):
So if I read this correctly, I can run my 1973 Saab without bumpers?

If only I could find the rego details for the saaaab.....
(Doesnt show up on any NZTA downloads)

This....my U13 SE. Man I loved that car. Sold it to my Sister-in-Law when we expanded the family and had to get more passenger space.
Note the purple pillow on the top of the roof rack; Middy placed it there while loading the car and forgot about it, left home to go on holiday, stopped at the dairy to find it still there! Thankfully...

<sigh> The perfect storm unfortunately....opportunity might exist to visit parents before we contract something that might kill them so might have to do that instead.
That pic had me questioning that decision however.

In my mind a CNC Router is "funner" than a laser as you can do real world engineering with them. Grab a sheet of ply and turn out tables, chairs, cupboards, caravan interiors, tiny homes, boats etc.
