  1. Oh fuck yes I notice they all seem to have a telehqndler or forklift and most are truck mechanics by day or ex army recovery mechanics

gets real when a gearbag weighs nearly a ton I have had a complete Leyland 6 and gearbox hanging off the 500kg full extension on a supercheap engine crane - it did it ok but we were super careful even put plywood down on the gravel

I love big old trucks but try to ignore the ones that need rescued it gets very expensive very quickly

No injectors on this puppy. Its got crabs.

So my plan was to make some flanges to suit the carbs, with injector added seats to suit.

Might even ask of a friend who has one of those high tech workshop tools that cuts things out of solid stock by magic. Complete numpty control?

Maybe easier to go triumph triple throttle bodies then better quality units and have injector bosses possibly usable size injectors with them also they bolt down - the bmw ones hoseclamp onto a rubber flange

can send you a spare bmw one for contemplation purposes if you want

  3. K100 itbs are what I sourced for my v6 got 1 set from tardme for around $100 and the other from eBay uk for around the same price posted via you shop  - I take it the Honda has the injectors direct into the head like the bmw as they are only butterflies and body no injector mount -

Also the factory motorbike trick to use satin alloy coloured paint on alloy casings cos it stays cleaner and easier to wash oil and road gunge off

  4. So the sedans with solid diff have mounts for coil and the wagons and utes are leaf - same housing different mounts ?  Cheaper to get another whole wagon - they go for dirt cheap utes are big money and going up - more likely to find an lsd in a Ute esp xr6

What model did ya buy? Did ya get the gauge to?

Spartan 2. No gauge have a gauge already and will be connecting wideband  to link ecu

Prob a dumb question from me but Do I split wires to the gauge or use an ecu analog output to drive the gauge ?

  6. Lots of people have spent money and parts trying to fix gearbox deacceleration noise after removing gearbox - alignment is critical - whole thing is so tied together that the engine mounts and diff bushes all come into the picture - front end of the PPF has slots so there is a bit of play for adjustment
as for the floor stiffeners they are all smashed in even on std height cars - can get local made stainless steel protective cover that stiffen up the whole car a bit

you found a soft top local ? All good

  7. Nice - cheap roadsters to thrash is what they are made for

Gearbox and PPF alignment is something to check out before and after dropping the box  to do the clutch - put a straight edge across the “chassis rails “ nope they are beaten in  floor stiffening ribs ... and measure up to the gearbox to front of PPF bolts - see where it’s at now and refer to factory spec for this -

bolts in the diff can be a pain they thread into sleeves - any of this stuff the ocd meearta owners on miata.net have good step by step stuff guides  -also lots of cool builds and knowledge on grassroots Motorsport forum

  8. Would like to give a big UP for 14Point7 customer service

Ordered one direct from them USA/canadia it bounced around the states for a month then tracking stopped for another few weeks after leaving Newark international distribution centre on usps

Waited patiently then sent them. Nice email saying it appears to have got lost any ideas I know beyond their control in these crazy times

Email from them 2 days later with new tracking number on UPS

First one arrived 3 days later .... sent another email saying ok cool what should we do about the second shipment - arrived today 2 weeks and one week of that was in Auckland

just found an email in my spam folder that said oh second one don’t worry about it = bonus

  9. Truck with no house  is commercial and needs transport service licence and more $ That’s why so many horsey trucks have bed table and cooker to meet mobile home reg

don’t think you can cof as cab/ chassis even with mudguards and taillights as the deck and tie down points is all part of the inspection

mate here has one as builders truck and house comes off on screw jacks (big acme threads) with air ratchet for speed - lowers house porch to ground level when parked - has always been on tsl and the deck under the house is certified and rated tiedowns - house is a load

maybe farm reg loophole for roaming around ? Will still need a deck and cof

rucs are same regardless of class reg is cheaper not much it’s the tsl cost and logbook bullshit

  10. Bought a new Link Atom G4X ecu and loom and been studying up on link forum and HPa academy

Bought decent crimpers and new terminals and connectors

found a Toyota coil on plug that fits the engine ( Yaris coils are too fat) and made some mounts to hold them down and wired ignition loom

Man this is so cool, the engine fits in there so nicely. It'll sound awesome with those ITB and the already cool K exhaust note.

    ps...wanna trace the adapter? haha

If I have to take the gearbox off again I will do a trace of adaptor -but if I was doing this again I would follow the path Hurmeez on here went and go six Spd rx8 Aisin gearbox and flywheel adapter onto rx flywheel and clutch - just looks so much easier and cleaner and then runs stock parts for clutch and starter
