  1. Yeahh everything will be fine. May even find another ute driver before then. It's 4 months away...... Either way gas will be sweet. Everything will be sweet. I'm so confident I've decided to bring this. Just added a new luggage rack:
  2. Nice robot toy solider dude.
  3. Can we call your work and complain? Sucks man!
  4. Only thing anyone has booked is a room is gisborne. I don’t even have a bike started. People have been booking Waikanae Beach motel in Gisborne for Friday 9 November. But people can stay anywhere they want. Gisborne isn’t huge. *** if you’re gonna stay at Waikanae beach here is deets: Waikanae Beach Motel. I used booking.com - They have a direct website though also. Biggest thing is to ask for a ground floor unit, as they have a ranch slide door out back which is where we keep the bikes. But we can all keep them outside one unit if they don't have any ground ones left. Usually 3 ish to a room. Some rooms take 4. Date: Friday 9 November (check in friday, leave saturday) Direct site: http://www.waikanaebeachmotel.co.nz/ Booking.com: https://booki.ng/2KJZv9H Phone number is: 06-868 4139 Saturday night - 10 November is at a Bach in almost the middle of nowhere. So prepare to sleep outside (small warehouse $15 tent etc) or there is a Holiday Park thing over the hill in Te Araroa - it’s the only accommodation in the town and the ride from the Bach is like 10-25 minutes. Can’t remember exactly. Dassss it so far. No entry form or anything as such. Just confirmed dates and direction. Novemeber 9-11. Gisborne first night, Hicks Bay/Te Araroa night 2. Back to the start (Close to Whakatane) on Sunday arvo.
  5. New rule for Eastcape. V-Rods only. As endorsed by @HighLUX.
  6. This 110cc 2T twist and go with knobblies keeps screaming out at me every time I walk past it. Must. Build. HONDA.
  7. Mod mirrors.
  8. Weow! Hopefully next door. Is this a keys in bowl, door unlocked type situation?
  9. I did it on booking.com, did it on there last year for them too. Only reason I did it there as opposed to direct is because it says I didn't have to pay till arrival. Could be easy to just to call them and tell ol' lass on the counter you want a ground floor unit and she'll hold it? They're pretty oldschool and easy as to deal with. Number is: 06-868 4139
  10. Defs got the right night. Won't be nude snuggling alone.
  11. Accommodation booked for Saturday night at Waikanae Beach Motel. @GuyWithAviators, @Shakotom and I. I sleep nude btw guys.
  12. You can get a generic trademe throttle tube for pit bikes and then get a matching set of grips. Measure ideal length of throttle cable and buy a pitbike one a similar length. I manged to make that work with OG handle bars. Though @Shakotom possibly used the OG slide set up? Not 100 sure. It's an easy work around either way.
  13. Jesus, with the lighthouse and back that will be 1100km. Trooper!
  14. My bike will have speakers this year. Was always a good time when stopped hearing backstreet boys etc pumping out of the bikes. Also looking at getting a walkie talkie helmet insert thing from AliExpress that @GuyWithAviators parents had when we rode in chch with them. Was as awesome as fuck from what I saw. They would just randomly both stop at the same time. I would wonder how they both knew to stop at the same time; duh - AE cheap ear radio thing , dunno how many people can chat but having someone else to sharn too and set up organised drafting and slingshot shake and bake speed passes at 70.2kph sounds like fun.
  15. Awesome! Nice work man. How long is your commute home, and how fast do you reckon it was going? Cool bikes man. So many wicked things can be done to them. Have you got any ideas on how you want it looking for Eastcape?
  16. Probably time I shared this again. This video captures 2017 Eastcapescapade down to a T. Cheers @BLIZZO.
  17. Come. Sweet. Have mirrors, you won't crash. Also just make sure rear rack is strongish, I had enough storage between the beer crate and my backpack, I'm just too stubborn to wear my backpack because back patches. Stuffed my bag and spares etc into crate on rear rack, it bent and was being held up by the tail light after the first day. My rack was a super thin ebay one though, OG ones might fair much better than my chinesium one. All in all; you're more sensible than me and your bike will be perfect.
  18. Might bring a wreath to lay down at my accident corner this year. Lest we we forget my foot peg.
  19. Which bike are you bringing this year @Vintage Grumble? Stock modern postie steeze or monster postie sleeper?
  20. The Zoomer had nothing wrong with it, (and I'm hesitant to mention speed because it seems to put a barrier up for those who haven't been) except for the fact they spent most of the ride alone. Leaving 20 minutes before everyone, then arriving at each stop a little after everyone else. It didn't actually hold us up one bit. The bike itself was super suited to the terrain with it's fat wheels etc. Just would have been a semi lonely ride. If it had 10-15KPH higher cruising speed it would have been right among the pack.
  21. Collarbone says otherwise tbh. Okay maybe it was my footpegs. Either way. Keen for more storage than Chaly had. Don't wanna cover up my vest with a backpack so the locals can see how much of a bishhhh I am with my hello kitty patch.
