Only got one last year and don't even use the part (legshield) I put it on anymore. Lol. Also @johnnyfive add another to the non OS-ers. Local engineer dude who is riding an AG100 with a F1SE type tank and it's ported to heck. He built this bike purely for the ride after watching the videos from last year.

Thats what the 3-5 people said last year that never ever rode on 2 wheels before let alone gravel. Yet myself and @Shakotom who've been riding for a few years were the only ones to bung off. If you end up needing to get anything from the Thai sellers don’t worry about it, they’re reliable and stuff always arrives. I just placed an order with a few last night for C200 stuff. One of them has already shipped the goods.

They’re welded on usually. The original ones were pressed and had spot welds. The circled part in the photo below. I ended up cutting it at that join, so if it’s higher up than that on yours then I guess someone’s cut further up. Could still be made to work. If you search c50 rear fender on eBay there’s a few different options. They sell it blank without the taillight mount I think.

Yeah that’s epic as fuck. Also that shop sounds like a bunch of fucks. I work at a bike shop and getting that running shouldn’t take more than a couple of hundred bucks, that’s if things are chooched. Sounds like they quoted you the ‘we can’t be fucked working on this because it’s not a big bike and nothing is cool except for what we like’ price. You can buy the tail sections and get them welded on if that concerns you. I can hunt down the eBay link. Either way deluxe frames give me major boners and look way more delicious than the other type. Edit: eBay link for tail section: Click this and keep deluxe.

Official gotta get my shit together moment happened today. Chosen colour in my head, gonna blast the frame this week coming. Might have to pillage the 125 from my Chaly for the cape weekend. Planning on a larger power plant in the long run though. Very excited about the bigger fuel tank than the Chaly had. Needed to get some inspiration in my head so threw a rim in there today for looks. Heres the only teaser till it’s done:

Yeah man; took a bit of effort to actually get them to understand what I wanted. If I asked for cub stuff they got confused and said nope; can’t help. So I told them I have the first edition Honda EX5; which basically has the same set up as the cubs. Eventually after double checking with me if I really wanted each little item they understood I wanted a complete set; one of the guys from the next shop over came and had a sharn and helped them understand what I meant. The street I got them from had about 6 shops beside each other. They’re 1.40 and 1.60 x 17”. Pretty damn stoked! Had priced up getting a set shipped home a few months back but it was gonna be more than twice the price.

Okay acquired some wheels. Want 72 spoke chromies but couldn’t find any. Always wanted a set of these rims so got a complete set with sprockets, bushes, bearings and all. $198 later; stoked as. Would have been a lot more to get them all sourced and sent to NZ. Will actually make a bike for Eastcape now. May or may not use Vaseline.

This is the whole of my East Cape bike progress so far. Going well to be honest. I think? Will try scrounge wheels tomorrow. Last day in Malaysia before I’m back home. 3 months has to be lies. Time is passing so quick!

@BLIZZO is/was supplying a ute for the support dude to drive. But not sure on the latest deets. Only thing I can think of other than what you mentioned is a good music selection. Not the quickest trip following a bunch of small bike drongos.

Is it bright orange or something like that? I remember seeing a write up and pictures of it years back and every 6 months or so it comes to mind and I try google hunt it down again. Haven't managed to ever find it though.
