    Strip it to a bare shell, fix what needs doing & toss a coat of paint on it. When shopping yesterday - CA18 det rods!!!!! Off to Probuild shortly check out crank progress & drop these off.

    Now it is, cranks just been welded to suit standard avenger thrust bearing location, way easier doing that than engineering block to suit 2y crank. Next, shave center main journal on block to suit the crank, grind mains to std avenger bearings then........... dig up some rods from somewhere. CA18 det anyone? Avengers dying....... so now escorts been evicted from shed & with needing to swap in another temporary motor, loaded up the wagon with 5 speed box & diff to get them sorted & get them in at the same time ( if they're back in time) patient..... donor...... for a worthy cause. Probably end up with double the power!

    No, this is a temporary fix, has bad rattles under load now, Edendale hill's become a challenge to get up without LOUD protests. New crank getting work done now on thrust bearing faces then block gets hair cut on center main journal so crank drops in.

    Probably go for a nosey as usual, chryslers feature this year, can't see avenger getting there- it's getting a heart transplant. No more smoke trails & more speed!!!!!!! Should please those of you stuck following & getting asphyxiated on previous runs! Escort's been ejected from garage so i'll bring that- has an ounce or 2 more respectability.

    Dam, currently too broke to go anywhere & dont have suitable wheels anyway. Highland not likely to let the avenger anywhere near the track considering the smokescreen it lays now & escort would have to be towed to get any real speed out of it

    Why a sadface, considering the abuse that motors suffered i'm not that worried. that was my 1st thought too, makes it go away. gunna dig out a gauge & put that on it- could be just a dodgy sender- otherwise pull motor & have a look. Anyone want a boat anchor?
