If it has that one casting flaw how bad is the rest of it?
-
Casting quality looks a bit shit.

Don't try this at home (or any other place).

A Waikato Legend Truck, Dibble Bros Commer fert spreeder Swamp Buggy! Colin & Eric started in transport & fert spreading in 1953, within about 15 years they were running over 50 trucks from their base in Te Awamutu, the brothers had played with prototypes to try to cover soft ground areas in the Waikato, semi swamp - peat type country. Swamp Buggy ticked the box in this department, another 1 off prototype, it's trick was super size truck tyres, swamp - tractor type 16 of them in drive mode, the truck was 4 x 4, doubles on the steerers, triples on the back and on the trailer which also had a power driven axle, it is said the only thing that stopped it was axle deep mud, this concept may have lead to the Tructor range of fert spreaders.

This is amazing. A one family owned survivor still in working order. How well does it hold a tune?

That was one of the problems back in the day.

I can remember my near teetotal grandmother finding it mildly amusing when someone crashed a car cos he couldn't handle his drink.

Would be very interesting. Remembering that EV, ICE, and to a lesser extent steam, were all relatively new technologies at the turn of the twentieth century and the vast majority still used four legged horsepower.

So not actually a truck then. More like an excessively ugly car with the boot lid / rear hatch cover missing.

Nah mate, that's not an oil leak. It's sweat from all the horsepowers.

They were actually not terrible cars apart from a few issues with the cable operated gear change mechanism on the early ones.

LVV cert for what is effectively a stock standard but very old car opens another big can of worms as discussed elsewhere.

black box in my car
This seems likely to be very expensive for vehicle owners and also wide open to abuse by govt agencies for other purposes.

Will it be possible to register this car for road use given that it may/will not have any real legal identity?

I don't mind the blue seats in that Corolla. Assume it would have come with a 12R or similar back in the day.
Left to rot.....
