  1. Is xafordgod still on the tard? Think his real name is Brendan. From Rangiora. Use to have all sorts of different coons and coon stuff. XE might be too new for him though.

Also Hinds Garage (at Hinds in South Canterbury obviously) has a lot of obscure shit that might be hard to find anywhere else. Mostly British but I've seen some coon stuff there. The place is like a cross between a hoarder's house and a museum but everything is for sale.

  2. This thing just goes to show how a car that looks pretty okay to start with can turn out to be a rusted out shit box when you start having a proper look. All credit to you for saving a sweet old car that many of us would have given up on as being too rusty. How much of the original shell do you / will you have left after all the repairs?

Also the turbo wheels really suit it.

  3. Back in the day that was my least favourite Viva but, like many things I didn't like much when they were new, the styling has grown on me to the point where I'd have one now in the right circumstances.

Alex, you need this to go with the other Vauxhalls. Might be a bit of a fun project for Hannah.

The Nissan data plates have the details of both chassis and engine number on them,  not always for export models. Prince has the same.

I realise it's not Japanese but most 70s British stuff I've seen is lucky to have a number at all. For anything.

I've had a lot of BMC stuff and often found chassis/body numbers but never engine numbers.

  5. Saw an old geezer in a Model A Ford last week. Either a survivor or a very old resto. Has black plates starting with A. Saw him again yesterday. I got the impression it's his daily cos it looks well used.

Seen a lot of cool old stuff lately, no pics though cos driving.

Anyone on here got a white Trump wags with a plate that starts with DM? Saw it yesterday southbound at East Taieri along with a turquoisey mid '70s B1600 flat deck and something else of that era (possibly Italian) that I didn't recognise.
