The P10 wagon was a rebadged Japanese Avenir, the P11 wagon was a Primera with different rear sheetmetal, and was designed and built at Sunderland specifically for Europe and the UK.
"While the estate was now based on the Primera's platform, it was assigned a model code of WP11."

Wonder how EVs fared during the floods? I dare say once water gets inside the passenger cabin, the cost of stripping and identifying/replacing any damaged components will see the insurance companies write them off, just like ICE cars?

Elon has finally made a profit from Tesla, albeit mostly from selling carbon credits rather than actual cars.

Had a look at the repro Aquajets, but at $600 each you'd be saving them for when you want your classic to be absolutely period correct. Perfect for that Series 1 XJ6. Apparently the repro Michelins are the type that were fitted to 70s Marinas, but you'd have to be a wealthy Barry to spend that on getting the correct 145x13 tyres.

The best way to reduce your carbon footprint is to spend all your time in your shed staring at your oldschool cars that don't run

Likely options would be an annual RUC based on mileage recorded at WOF time (to increase compliance and reduce admin costs), combined with a mix of toll roads and congestion charging using number plate cameras.
But no wof, no reg, no RUC, no worries...

Devices like described above must be common in Japan as our last two cars had devices fitted which accommodated a 'Snapper-type' card presumably for toll roads & congestion charging.
But the estimated times on motorway signs? That data comes from your mobile phone via motorway sensors which pick up your phone's ID only.
BTW, the Govt can't legally slap RUCs on petrol cars without removing the tax from petrol, so it should in theory be cost neutral. Ha!
I thought those signs used number plate recognition. AT have a faq about it on their website

I wonder what Tesla-driving Mrs Luxon said when hubby informed her of the change?

Where is that from? Does he have a build somewhere? I've only seen it on his youtube channel. Being FWD makes it a lot easier to do!

A bit of MDF and a jigsaw?
Does look like the panel on mid-60s Chevs, but they're probably just as thin on the ground here.

Perhaps a repro panel from White gauges? 1968 Chevrolet Nova White Heater Control Overlay HVAC - Whitegauges.net

Something like this from Midwest Bayless?
... but that looks different to the one here
Did Fiat keep changing the layout?
Either way, I can only recall 2 sliders in all the Brit and Jap cars I've had, one for heat, one for direction. Except for a Laser that had the recirc lever, but that was a shorter slider

Pretty much.
Problem for me is, we probably do need to keep "subsidising" heavy transport because as a whole we are so reliant on keeping the costs down for end users. Damned if we do, damned if we don't
The spokesman from the MTA was very keen on this, but not so keen on applying the same logic to rail.

They're going to need to add some more classes for lighter vehicles if they want to get public support, no-one with a small car wants to be paying the same rate as a deliver truck or Ranger.
- 4

That's going to hurt, paying the same rate as a Ranger or 3.5 tonne truck. That thinking effectively killed the market here for small diesel cars.
