LONG TIME NO TALK! so its been a pretty shitty few months for the city im not going to lie ha. but i have managed to prgress! i have no bought this for the city can anyone help me out with how to find out its exact model so i can look into rebuild kits? it say A/R .48 on the compressor housing and was sold to me as a T22. if its a dud im not worried i got it for litterally nothing haha. now a mate has offered to do a full stainless exhaust for the city and things are about to get exciting! plan is to get him to fill weld the exhaust housing, then mill it flat, and using a custom gasket separate the exhaust housing and the waste gate housing! ill run a 1" pipe straight off the wastegate all the way to the back and a 2.5" straight off the exhaust outlet all the way to the back. it may, or may not work but hey im getting this all done pretty cheap and its something ive wanted to do from the start so im very excited! at the same time ill bore out and polish the waste gate outlet to get the best flow i can i was told the top rubber intercooler (or interwarmer lol) pipe was leaking all my boooostz! so im taking the intercooler out all to gather for the mean while, ive just bought 2 90 degree silicon joiners and ill get some s/s pipe to go straight off the back of the turbo to the throttle body. and then redo the boost leak test and go from there. sadly as you all would have read eariler the boost controller was a dud which im gutted about, but on wards and up wards! a new boost controller is on the cards but not till after the exhaust and turbo is sorted out thanks heaps for reading everyone! i promise ill try get more updates in now and i really want to get back out to the local oldschool meets Joe

  5. so this thing has gotten neglected quite a bit lately, just been flat out, but i decided to test fire the engine to see all was well before getting to in depth https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=703171749692969&notif_t=like i just need to weld in proper mounts rather then the zip ties holding the whole thing togather at the moment haha. and test to see if theres any problems with the float being at the angle its at. ive been told by people to keep the pedels, where i was just going to replace with pegs, because they reckon i have to pedel upto a decent speed first before giving it gas, someone care to explain / give opinions?

  7. things have come to a standstill. need to make time to get the faulty boost controller out so i can get my money back, not in a massive rush as ive got this to drive me around now

  10. ah yeah my bad, probably shouldnt be so vauge ha, but yeah 200hp atw with a bigger turbo, exhaust and air to water intercooler intake, with ported t/b and reground cam. should be achievable, thats what a mate of mine was making on less mods.
  11. 200 whp man hahah. Got the car back today and to be honest im really disappointed... not hitting full boost till the end of 3rd and my boost gauge isnt working anymore. Hate ti say it but I honestly think bits slower (N)
  12. hks boost controler turns out the actuator is fucked, so the nice chap i bought it off said hed refund me, and ill just buy a evc 6 instead, really really gutted, but these things happen. im just happy the guy i bought it off is a good sort. on the positive side, the guys at spec found the boost leak and it is now fixed. hope to get it on the dyno eventually to see how much of a difference its made, and when i get an other boost controller ill bump it upto 14 psi (fuel cut) and see how we're getting on. thanks for reading.

  14. bewerst. have got it booked in on the 23rd to get it installed at spec performance, as well as getting a boost leak test, and time on the dyno to get it all running mint.
  15. goat, touche' my friend, touche' steelies, it fits in nice and snug, its off set to the left to line up with the chain, and the carb clears nicely
  16. run into problems already, cant run the motor on the piss like i intended because the carb has to be level, because of the float.

  20. has anyone got any tips for running in two strokes? im not to worried if it blows up either, its cheap enough to replace
  21. so i had a wee thing going in my city turbo thread but i thought id seperate it as it seems things are getting drastically out of hand. seems to be just the way we like it on old school! Its a old school, Velamos, kids pedal bike from Czechoslovakia. hes a pic from the auction i origionally wanted a honda express/ nc50, but there seems to be no so many around, for not my sort of price range.... lol then i remembered i had a small engine lying around, that i had bought / build for an old scooter project ages ago that i never got around to completing. and thought this would be a much better cause. specs on the engine are, -a trademe base kit. which i then bought a -larger carb -larger cylender block -larger piston -new conrod -and crank adding upto make about 88cc. needs a bit of a clean up but its pretty fucking sick i reckon. basic mock up, using zip ties, lol top bars will have to be re made, this time using round bar, the old stuff is just thin tubing. need to find a way to set up the rear wheel so the sproket is on the same side as the engine drive, its got one of those systems where if you pedal backwards it locks the back wheel, so i dont know if im going to need to do something to get around that if im flipping the wheel. also, i bought a super charger for it. el oh el. will be interested to see how i get on mounting it up, obviously there isnt alot of room, should fit nicely under the seat though. its a 'smog pump' that the yanks used on their old transams to pump fresh air into the exhaust to help pass smog tests, they are supposidly perfect for these little engines, so i may as well give it a go. ill need to pressurise the fuel, so ill run a boost line from the s/c out let to the breather on the fuel tank, then make up a reducer pipe for the s/c outlet to the carb, to make sure the carb is getting more fuel then air. oh yeah and a mate linked me to these Sooooooo... NOS is on the cards too cherio.
