What is it? I think we've still got >4months, so theres that.
It's the atc125 for my ct90, was just going to give it a quick freshen up but it's been run out of oil and wrecked it. The original 90 is pretty poked and is way too slow with my weight. I don't really want to buy a bike as it would only be used for this ride. If its OK to use my xr250 Baja then I'll just use that

Rookie Dave did it on a 750 in 2018.
He had just as much fun as the rest of us. (But we enjoyed him falling over more than he did)
Mine is only a 250 and not a very fast one.

Could do if anyone else is taking a big boy bike

Probably didn't need to even pull the engine apart, this and the tube worth of red rtv holding the side covers on would have been enough to tell its fucked

Google: virm motorbike mirrors
Then go to the virm link which points to motorcycles, then on that link hit the legislation tab.
You'd think with technology these days it would be easier to just do a quick google for such basic questions.
So what's the answer? I don't have google

You would think with technology these days the stickers would be redundant.
With bike wofs is it a requirement to have 2 rear view mirrors or do you just need a right side one?

RX8s going for change.... reason behind that. Other than the engine rebuild, anything else that goes pop at this age?
Fugly, slow, unreliable. Might as well get a brittish car

Ive used the drill press on a few heads, just bolted a bit of wood under the head and made a tool the right size for the spring retainer

On my ride to work I was thinking heated grips would make it a nicer trip, need a set of bark busters too

If anyone wants a ride down from Auckland I'll have a spare seat in the landy and will be able to fit a small bike in the back

I had a header pipe for an xr600 done by procoat, cant remember exactly how much it cost but it wasnt cheap

Balanced out the rims on the xr baja, the rim locks it had were really heavy and vibrated so bad on the motorway. Bought some light weight billet rim locks and balanced the rims without the tyres first. Just used stick on wheel weights but fitted them on the inside of the rim under the rim tape. Has made such a difference, now the only vibrations are from the engine which are too be expected

originally was the rim center scalloped with intermittent welding like in that last pic I posted - and he has lopped all of that off and fully welded instead?
No they were not, he has just cut the welds and moved the center in 25mm, he had to take 5mm off the flange and then fully welded it. Originally they were not fully welded just stiched

good shops around auckland to try out motorbike jeans? I have tried motomail which was OK, but was missing a bunch of stuff in my sizes. Draggin Twista was my favorite but couldnt get my size/colour for 4 weeks +. And not keen to buy only from online when spending $300+
Not Auckland but Boyds in Hamilton have a huge range, I just go there now as its only a quick trip down the expressway from my place

Havent heard anything from insurance re: outcome of my claim.
If they write it off I've been window shopping, Yammy R6 is the only thing that's stood out. Potentially excessive for a mostly commuter?
R1 also there but I am really not that keen to die and I bet insurance succccckks.
The new Honda cb650r and cb1000r look pretty sweet
