cheers man! grabbed 2 x50 profile to test fit a front and back rim this weekend so will find out for sure. back will be fine, only thing is front might be a bit tight but will see

Test fit some wheels last night now we have rolled the rear guards nicely and iv got the car home for a couple of weeks,
The BBS RS is a 15X9 with a 195 45 r15 on it, but you cant get any decent tyres in that size in a 45 profile so going to grab a couple of 50 profiles to test fit, cause theres heaps of semis and other good options in 50 profile. But happy how it sits.
Will run a 15x8 on the front which i know fits with the 45 profile, just need to get back the front guards and i can test fit it with a 50 profile.
The 15s cant get legal without a stupid size tyre so will need some rims to get it legal on,
Have 3 sets of ROH Z's in different stud patterns and width haha.
I need spacers in the rear to get it sitting right so grabbed some 5 stud 8.5" wide deep dish ZS,They fit perfect on the back with a 20mm 4x114.3 to 5x114.3 adaptor and a 215/40 R17 tyre which is a legal easy to find option, tried to find 215 35 profile but not really any decent options in this size.
The front needs a 20mm spacer to sit right and clear the strut so picked up some 5 stud 7.5" ZS which will do the trick for the front.
Will get them all polished like my 4 stud set iv had done already.
Got a few jobs to chip away at over the next couple of weeks before it goes to fab.

- Exhaust manifold & full exhaust,
-Rad & Oil cooler
-Mounts
-Catch can & overflow
-Battery box
-Few other bits and pieces/- 20

Shouldn't touch. you wouldn't need much clearance at full suspension extension though
Figured as much, thats allgood, fabricators problem to solve haha. 3.5" is alot of girth to fit over/under a diff.

Exhausts,
When going under/over a diff, for a cert does the diff have to have no contact with exhaust when its fully jacked up? Eg if the exhaust goes under diff and cars jacked up, if it touches is this a no go?

Hey guys, well I kicked the 20b can down the road after talking $$$ with Azhar. Just too rich for me and my 3. So decided to keep things simple and keep the 13b bridgey - but convert to EFI. Wondered if anyone had any experience with what the best ECUs are for 13bs out there? I am looking to run a Haltech IC7 display inside in a Motorsport 3D dash. Any thoughts / experiences welcomed.
Im running a Haltech IC7 and Motorsport 3d Dash for mine too, seem to be the best looking dash .
Im going to run a Haltech Elite 1500 for 13B Injected, was either that or a Link but decided to go with Haltech this time.

Man, the seats look so good, thank you THANK YOU for respecting the factory style interior. It is gonna be a sweet ride once it is done, can't wait to see it in person.
Thanks man, you cant beat the factory styling in these things, same as what i did in my Impala. Just looks so good!

Vast improvement!

Yep is that one. Just not a fan. Probably amazing panel and fab work, but yeh, I just can't see past the ridiculous wheels
Yeah agree the wheels are rediculous haha, but the build quality and level is certainly up there by the looks of it.
Wasnt it for sale for 200+ but he ended up keeping it and finishing it off.
20B Turbo in it. -
Looking epic man!! So good.

Hey @MRWEST any updates since January on the build?
Looking like your making some good progress on yours!
Mines is coming along albeit slowly.
The last couple of minor bits of steelwork have been done and filler work progressing well hopppefffulllyyy not to far from going into primer then will chuck some photos up. Panelbeater/painter is doing it after work/weekends so that slows things down a bit.
Interior is off at KP Upholstery getting done however so thatll be some progress when thats done.

Read the thread again your talking about outside, as @Nominal said good luck if you like your paint haha

Repco ones no good put away as a clean car and pull cover off a month later and dusty ASF.
If its in a shed go to The Cover Shop in auzzie, not cheap but unreal quality, dust proof, shrink fits to your car. Take cover off after a month and cars clean as a whistle.

I presume a yaris engine can be relatively easily dialled up to match the 300hp in the corolla
Street motive or someone in auzzie has a GR Yaris over 300kw atw with factory internals, cams, exhaust etc etc. Be a hell of alot of fun id say ha

Wow didn’t expect them to be all gone, do they get their stuff from Phil’s or is it different again?
From what i can piece together they both must use the same suppliers (pac/phils) as when one has new stock of something the other does as well. But i could be wrong

Thanks for this. Just found the bonnet release on Pac. Must have missed it somehow. Cant see a Windscreen Washer nozzle there... but now looking on Phils. Re the boot lid.. I'd be keen. Will IM you. And the search for the front 10a bumper continues. I have one, but it needs re-chroming... and last time I checked it was hard to get anyone to re-chrome without paying some serious dollars.
I got mine done at Shiny Bits in Geraldine, got front and rear bumpers and 2 door handles chromed and was $1684 which i didnt think was too bad considering.
Always get lots of good recommendations on FB from all the hot rod pages etc, took quite a long time but was worth the wait.

So whilst the rx2 coupe is good spirits, my 10a rx3/808 coupe is pretty much farked and having to be completely rebuilt from ground up. She was a beautiful looking thing but digging into her and the repairs done on her in the past were... not optimal. So am starting again. We're deep into the rebuild and whilst we sourced bought rx3 parts or fabricated new bits, I need the following. 1) boot-lid, 2) windscreen washer nozzle kit, 3) front 10a bumper, and 4) bonnet release cable. If anyone can point me in the right directions for any of it, please reach out. Am also looking for ideas re a new engine setup. Thought of going 13b bridgeport turbo (PAC Performance) but open to ideas. Not sure I can afford a 20B pp setup (the dream!), but am considering. Will start a Builds/Project thread if this is not the right place...
20b PP is the dream for my coupe too. 13B Pp can be V1 so can get on the road and use it. But one day I hope to V2 it with a 20B.
I have 2 boot lids once the panelbeater has decided which one we are using in mine i will have one to sell, neither are perfect but they dont have rust either just need a bit of love.
Windscreen washer nozzle kit PAC or Phils sell them new, i think they do a bonnet release cable too new.
10A Bumper will be a bit trickier, keep a eye out on TM and FB theres been a few 10A fronts coming up for sale lately, but yeah the bumpers are hard to find for sure, im glad mine was tidy and got it rechromed so its mint now.- 2

Scored a couple of hours on the weekend to shoot out to the shed to test fit the BBS,
Got 2x Hankook Z232 RS4 Semis and fitted one to a 8 and one to a 9 to see how they fit.
Good looking tyre and the reviews seem to be decent for them.
Rears fit perfect with a 5mm spacer (the 3 piece nuts hit the caliper with no spacer as the brakes only just fit inside the 15).
Fronts look allgood with no spacer, just got to test fit with a guard and make sure they clear at lock.
Picked up the front guards today so ill test fit them with the coilovers and both sets of wheels to make sure they fit,
Have just had a guy radius the front edge of the guards so 17s can actually turn (they hit the front edge of the guards if they arent cut/modified).
Booked in to get engine bay and boot sandplasted and epoxied on Friday weather permitting.
