my old chevette used to stall at idle and it would take like 2 minutes of cranking to start again pissed so many people off at lights and roundabouts haha. but yeh i put new points in, condensor replaced so much shit and was stumped for ages, then i put in some new spark plugs and it went mint lol. you could just give that a try?

is this still happening? and meeting a edgar?

does anyone know if a s series diff out of a ae85 would fit handle a 4age sweet? also would it need to be shortened for a ke30

na its not just the oil leak, im guessing its completely stuffed as there is a real noisy grinding noise constantly, and its spitting out alot of oil. like 100mls a day or more. keen to upgrade to something stronger. can u get a t series diff with drum brakes?

sorry for the other post about the gearbox, i didnt get a chance to have a good look. was driving home from rhythm and vines, when shit hit the fan. theres oil every where even on the brakes so i have decided to get a whole rear end. if anyone has any ideas on an affordable upgrade or replacement all help is appreciated. by the way it has a 4age with a t50 box so i am maybe thinking a t series rear end with drum brakes?? thanks.!

My box started making a lot of noise, but it still drives and selects gears. It took 1 litre of oil so I'm guessing that's what caused the problem. Advice needed. Do I try and fix or look for a new box.? Thanks.

i have a ke30 thats certed for a 4age in the induction bit it says fuel injected. would i need to recert if i was to turbo it?

yeh definitely keen to get some new wheels those look awesome haven't seen any on trademe like them tho. this is my mates cortina like these wheels too.

needs abit of work on running gear. better diff and the motor needs a good tune. definitely needs some low and new wheels a decent paint job maybe a better orange?? and just a general tidy up. but i'm pretty keen to turbo it. any ideas? and what do u guys think of this ke30?

Just bought this off trademe 1975 Ke30 Blue top 4age t50 It is certed but wof and reg ran out in july. The seller took it in for a wof and it failed on a little bit of rust and the brakes need work. Cant work on it down here in Wellington, but i go back to Tauranga in a couple of weeks so will start fixing things then. Only have photos from trademe at this stage will add more soon.
