  2. Hi Here is some inspiration, my friends once old rusty fiat, all hand built re build, this is not a kit, hand fradricated metal guards, one off hand built fibreglass boot lid and bonnet etc. http://www.upl.co/uploads/Picture-1204-67.jpg Took a few years but worth the effort, http://www.upl.co/uploads/Picture-1205-65.jpg Clever guy hand frabricating one off fibreglass panels, stuffed if I could do it. etc. http://www.upl.co/uploads/Picture-1231.jpg
  3. Hi, Thought I would send you some photos of my friends car, all hand built this is not a kit that has been stuck on. I hope these phots come out, Took a few years to make this car, including one off fibreglass panel ie boot lid etc.
  4. Hi, How the paper work battle going, do you have all the parts yet ?
  5. yep been there, every one has there hand out and paying gst on it all for some bloody reason that makes no sense !
  6. Correct No intercooler, a one stage water injection unit is installed rather than a inter cooler, the inlet to the engine is just past the turbo you will see a clear plastic line running into the intake pipe, thats the water injection inlet. Comes on at 6psi and injects at 250psi via an atomising water injection nozzle. THe Link will operate that, also has options to go to a two stage water injection kit and is methanol compatable.
  7. Hi, not sure if the images will show, first time that I have tried to load an image, Vq30det in My BMW 318ti, 350z 6 speed, carbon fiber driveshaft, M3 LSD. Just have the exhaust to do and to install the Link ECU and that about it.
  8. Hi ya, So what is arriving ? Motor, gbox, driveshaft, ecu etc
  9. The Vq35 is a great motor, I have one of those as well the only problem I have ever had with it is that it keeps hitting the red line on the rev counter. Figured out my right foot is to heavy. I used the carbon fiber driveshaft and adjusted the motor position to fit it in, only because the motor position was within 30mm of where I wanted it. If you can, use the carbon fibre driveshaft, do you want the dimensions of the shaft ? Other than that you will need to cut the shaft and turn off ( in a lathe) the remaining shaft off the yoke, then weld on a steel shaft etc. Would be great if you could use the original carbon fibre shaft as it will reduce your rotational mass a lot, and I have never heard of them breaking even in 350z that are around 900hp, still use the carbon shaft.
  10. Hi, Looking at the correspondence I presume that it is a vq35 that has be bought ? I have the previous engine the vq30det in my BMW 318ti ( now BMW 3L Ti), running a 350z manual box.
  11. Hi, depends on what horse power you want and what application you need the motor for and budget etc. Plenty of Vq30det around and on trade me, Vq35 are a nice motor as is the vq30det. Nw to the forum so can someone tell me how to insert an image.
