  1. They were $40 each, which isn't bad for something hand spun. And yep, Spun by Hutty. I've just gotta finish welding up the holes in the engine bay then it's more or less just a matter of assembling it all. I have pretty much everything sitting there except the exhaust and driveshaft
  2. Got these bad boys spun up for my Techno Shadows as original centre caps are near on impossible to find. Will get the stickers made up for them aswell
  3. Get the wheels widened?
  4. Cheers. If anyone knows of such a tank for sale, let me know xoxo
  5. This is what I was leaning toward since I'm so virgin/useless.
  6. What would happen if I was to run a intank pump on the factory carb tank? What's the difference in pick ups between a lift pump and a high pressure pump etc?
  7. I'm in no way shape or form capable of such wizardry. So it's really what's available off the shelf/alternative fuel tank options
  8. I don't mind forking out for quality parts, it's more whether I can get away with an in tank, or if I need to go pickup, surge and external etc.
  9. I have 2 questions about the fuel set up in my AE70. I'm doing a motor swap from carb 3AU to 20v 4AGE. What is the easiest/cheapest/best way to do the fuel? Can I just put a high pressure pump into the carb tank or would I be better to just but a new fuel cell, surge tank, lift pump and external? If I was to do the fuel cell etc in the boot, what else would be involved? Would I need to seal the boot off from the rest of the car or is the rear seats enough?
  10. Pointless photos. I took the car out and gave it a clean and lowered the front. The rears have 25mm spacers, the front will have them too. Also mocked up the muffler Also, this bad boy arrived!
  11. Put the wheels on the car, still need to put the front coilovers in so it's quite high at the front. Will also likely run 25mm spacers. And my Redhorse braid fittings also turned up
  12. Got tyres on the Devils, 195/45/15 Toyo T1Rs. Coolest wheel I've ever seen in person (maybe biased) just waiting for a chance to try them out
  13. I shall do this. I was wanting to get something a little different to the standard silver bolts and can get a good price on bolts from WORK (blasphemy).
  14. Hey all, I've got a set of XR4 longchamps I'm restoring and they're in need of new assembly bolts. Does anyone know what size bolts are needed for this?
  15. And she's gone! I'm thinking that I can have the car running by the time I get it back. There's actually a lot less to do than I thought. I have ordered a heap of red horse braid and fittings which should be here next week and the cars off getting a Link G4 Storm wired up. Also, oil cap was the best investment (cost a stupid amount of money, #trdtax)! Looks amazing (personal opinion) Also purchased a Megan Racing M-DT muffler so will get the exhaust made up soon.
  16. Ripped mine out tonight, made me feel good and looks 16468734x better.
  17. Run the pipes to a foot bath in the passenger foot well for ultimate luxury
  18. Disregard, found the legislation. Only needs a washer system if it was manufactured after 1 January 1992. A car manufactured before 1 January 1992 doesn't require a washer system and the factory system can be removed. http://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vision/windscreen-wipe-wash
  19. Hey all, Does anyone know if having a washer bottler and wipers is a WOF issue? I read that if its pre 1991 then it only needs wipers and if its post 1991 it must have wipers and sprayers. Does anyone know how accurate that is?
  20. Ok, so I'm ready to get this thing going! I'm buying my Link and getting it wired up in the next week or 2 but I also need to sort the fueling. Does anyone have any suggestions for fuel pumps etc?
  21. Hey all, not sure if I've asked this already or not but... I'm wanting to convert my AE70 from cable to hydraulic clutch. I know a AE71 is a direct bolt in and TE71 can fit as well but I've also read that it depends on whether they came from a steering rack or box. They also appear to sell for stupid money. The other option I've seen is people modifying the factory pedal box to work with the hydraulic set up. Has anyone done this/know how to do this? Is it legal to do or certifiable? If you know how, would you be interested in doing it on mine for cash/beer/both? Cheers.
  22. Got the car back today, so stoked with how it all came out! I've also put in the rear suspension, will get some decent photos of that when i can, but in the mean time...
