Popular Post Threeonthetree
A friend of mine had long since wanted to build a modern day version of this car: 59401_433208715964_170825_n by Neal OnTheTree, on Flickr So he located a suitable car to use as the base and turned it into this: IMG_6073 by Neal OnTheTree, on Flickr IMG_6076 by Neal OnTheTree, on Flickr IMG_6086 by Neal OnTheTree, on Flickr When the time came for him to sell it, I was in a good position to make him an offer. It needs plenty of ongoing work but it's a road legal car that I can drive while fixing, which is a bonus. The plan is to eventually give it a repaint as the old colour is showing its age and will need to be removed anyway to tackle a few minor rust issues. I'll repair the splits in the upholsterey, have the signage re-made and slowly work on detailing it to be even more period correct. So far I've only carried out basic maintenance. Replacing everything in the cooling system, repairing the broken glovebox latch, tuning the carburetor better than it was and tidying up the wiring a bit. I'd like to keep the car presentable but still useable so I don't ever want to take it off the road. I've been there before, it doesn't end well.
