My question is will it be easier to register as a home build or use the reg off the donor car. Will it Still be cheap reg if the donor is older than 40 yrs. I realise either way it will need a cert. smokin'joe Posted March 17, 2014 Share Posted March 17, 2014 the advice i got for a modified oldie with moderner bits in it was: re-vin rusty ute as it is, then cert it for a modern ute chassis if done the other way around, it becomes scratch built and needs to comply with more emissions/safety bullshit Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
