Duddley
Hey hey have ripped apart my FXGT to try and find out why the engine has been whining and squeeling like a bitch for the past few days and turns out the aircon pump pulley bearing is super fucked. I can get that replaced easy enough, but what I'm puzzled about is how the pulley is supposed to work? It's made up of two parts (the big pulley and what looks like a smaller pressure plate) that fit together, but after tightening the pressure plate screw, the pulley freely spins without spinning the pressure plate and the pump itself. Is there supposed to be a plate of carbon in between? Cause there was a shit load of build up of the stuff in and around it.. This is the photo of the pulley with the two parts together This shot shows the two apart with the build up of crusty carbon shit. Do I clamp it all back up? Or where do I get the replacement bits? Cheers fullas
ta63-1uzze
its all done with an electro magnet on the snout of the ac pump, so it will free spin until it gets power sent to it when you click the ac button on the heater controls. so no your all good everything looks to be right
