Brennan
started plumbing the heater. fits nice behind the dash. (kind of) Sacrafices must be made, and this way the passenger should always have warm legs. Just need to decide on a tap/valve to break the flow now. Might just use one of the spare air suspension valves we have around i think.
Brennan
So big box turned up at work today... which contains... Apparently they go "MAX" low?? will see once i mock them up to my x7 cressida struts this weekend. before getting them welded. Other than that im pretty stocked with the build quality, the overnight delivery and the price. Getting close to getting this car done discussion can be found here //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/31343-brennans-ke70-corolla-3sge-beams-powered/page-
Brennan
How to "make" coilovers for your ke70 Step 1 Take an empty gx71 strut Step 2 Mark on 60mm Step 3 Slice struts and remove paint Step 4 Slide on coilover and glue Step 5 Compare to sloppy, soft, cut factory spring and strut. Please don't actually glue your struts together. i am joking if you did not already realize
Brennan
Pulled the ke70 steering knuckles of and put on the t3 hybrid knuckles. These fit ke70/ae86 but have the larger bolt spacing to fit cressida/supra struts. Plus they are nice and beefy. And have the extra holes which match the shorter powersteer ae86 knuckles. Factory ke70 struts and knuckles are up for grabs. if you want/need them make an offer. seem to have good shocks/ cut springs.

Brennan
Dragged her around to the engineers workshop. He will be doing the rear coilovers and the driveshaft for me. Bearing was buggered on the driveshaft that came with the engine conversion from T-Parts. And apparently they have now closed down. Making it difficult to claim for warranties. So went to local toy-yota wreckers. And grabbed another. Will be keeping it two piece this time too. Also found Keith Stewart dyno. Out by rongotea. Anybody know what he is like? Price and quality wise? Cheers
Brennan
whoop more progress also turns out auto drive shafts have a different yolks, so returned it and grabbed another. hope it fits this time Also some new goodies arrived from summit racing yesterday And a new Hood release cable from Thailand Cant wait to drive this bloody thing! Brennan
All welded in, just needs the bottom mounts to be made. Then i will be trying to sort out an exhaust for it. Is going to be 2.5inch mild steel. Looking at flowmaster muffler and Coby Resonator? Would like it to be very quiet.

Popular Post Brennan
Right, today i learnt, apparently driveshafts cant be balanced when somebody else has shortened and welded them... Oh well, lucky i enjoy paying for things to be done twice. In good news, i got the back brakes back together, fitted to the car and ready to roll. Coil overs all wound down and fitted. And with the help of a few blocks of wood got it of the hoist.

Brennan
Stupidly brought two driveshaft loops on an impulse buy a couple of weeks ago. Deep down i knew i really didn't need them and that they weren't going to fit. Today the first one transformed into this Much better Also finished relocating the fuel lines, much happier with them now, and are sitting no where near the driveshaft and diff. Wired up the licence plate lights. And Painted the lip before fitting it.
