Brennan
Made new shock mounts for the rear. as they were in the way of the fat dual pot calipers before.Still waiting on hsd coilovers to arive in the country. Very doubtful they will even show up.And shes all oiled up and ready to go to the auto electrician, so he can work his magic. Then it is just to build the driveshaft, fill diff with oil, exhaust and all those other stupid little things that pop up at the end of projects. Guest Brennan
Trying to get started on this again, one of the things i need is a heater/demister for those cold days. As the factory heater core is to big now that the gearbox tunnel has been raised. Found these in the UK http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/cockpit-ventilation/demon-tweeks-lightweight-heater about $200 NZD Anybody know anything common that i could find at a local wrecker that would be similar? suzuki swift or something? although my corolla wont have a/c. just need basic heater core with built in fan. Cheers
Brennan
Right. Scrap that idea. Attcked the factory heater core with the sabre saw and it lost allot of excess ducting on the bottom. But it now fits again. Disappointing as I wanted to buy one I those uk heaters to see what they went like.
Brennan
Update time again people. Bottom of the heater. It now fits. Removed a good 3inches Front of heater. Drilled holes for the cores hoses to poke through towards the cabin instead of through the firewall Getting some soldering done on it at the moment. Then shall refit it hopefully for the last time.
Brennan
Started pulling the cressida struts apart to see what was usuable between gx71/mx73 and facelift ke70. Quick comparison of instant brake upgrade. Nice and big. Yet still fit a 14inch rim. With ease of upgrading to a wilwood caliper in the future if needed. And vented! Brennan
Brought another heater core, since i stuffed the last one with my roughness. Had the bends cut of the inlet and outlet and re crimped. chucked it in backwards with the in and outlets sticking out the holes i cut. where they use to come out: Fitted: Should work alright?? Hopefully be some more exciting updates soon. Mortgage is eating all my money, so, saving for coilovers is not really going to good.
