Mini.Mad
Just purchased a new project, a MK1 Mini. Has a rollcage in it and bulkhead prepared for a big Weber. My plan is to do a period style racecar. Photos to come

Mini.Mad
Not much has happened to the car in recent times, mainly due to the Clubman LE's unexpected engine rebuild which has taken a lot of time! I have done a quickie Photoshop of what the car should look like when completed, except I will be running the standard MK1 Austin wavy grille and not the Cooper type. Paint will be a pearl Old English White and black roof with a slight blue pearl. Interior colour scheme will be using the original cream panels and blue carpet, dash will be something very unique! Mini.Mad
Another update on the car - it's been a while! Ditched the plans of building my 998 into a Mini 7 spec engine, after earlier this week after a classified was posted onto our Mini club Facebook page, some of the spares listed included an Arden 8 port head! Now plans are to rebuild my 1275 into a 1330 8 port running 4 Amal carbs Discovered my bonnet slam panel wasn't a genuine MK1 item, thankfully it has been modified to become a removable section when it was a race car, and I've been able to source a NOS part. I've decided on wheels for the car, 10x5.5" Hotwire mags, been able to source 3 so far cheap - not scared to spend a bit of time tidying them up though! Still looking for 2 more if anyone knows of any or are willing to sell! The rear quarter had a small dent in it, not really noticable - but I had to fix it! Another Trademe bargain - brand new aftermarket tail light lenses. The car did come with NOS units still in their boxes, but I don't want to break those. And a photo of the back of the car with a Hotwire tucked under the guard. Won't sit this low, but will still be as low as I can get it!
