s15
I think I need to adjust the tappets on my L300 that has a SOHC Carb 4G63 motor, I can hear a bit of tapping coming from the head so Feel it may be time for an adjustment/check up of valve clearances. Can someone please advice of the clearances and the procedure for adjustment. Many thanks, George (efp0wa)
fuel
0.10 inlet and 0.15 exhaust when hot I think. Get engine warmed up, remove rocker cover. Start from #1 TDC and do the valves which are fully closed/off cam, then rotate engine until the next lot valves free up and do them also. Best to get the lot done within 15 mins while the lot is still hot. I set them to the point where the feeler gauge is difficult to slide in under the tappet, almost biting it.
