CaMpylobacter
your clutch is probably draggin slightly. reverse is the only gear on these without a synchro. the synchro will create enough drag to slow the clutch mechanism down. maybe even your spigot bearing is a bit rumbly, causing this. check your clutch freeplay and adjustment and see if it'll release more. alternatively if you swung the box off the clutch disc at all, it may have a slight warp in it. running off true by about 3 thousands of an inch can cause issues with releasing.

CaMpylobacter
just 'borrow' a synchro form a forward gear (so when you're about to go for reverse, ease the gearstick into something like, 3rd, then hoon back into reverse before the 'box spins up again. I have to do that on my citroen coz the 'rebuilt' clutch I got for it is shithouse and wont release.
