I have just brought a old 2000 triumph with the overdrive. Shes got a noisy thrust bearing and the over drive has been boogied up (solinoid and switch on shifter) i was jst wondering would the standard 4 speed bolt up if so would the ratios be any differnt? if im pulling the box out is it worth me binning the old 2000 motor and slapping the 2.5 (carby) in there? any input would be greatly appresiated. And is there anybody in the waikato that would have spairs?

Hey, welcome to the forums.

I think this topic would be better suited to the Tech Questions section, so I've moved it for you - hope you don't mind. You should get a better response in that section. Feel free to start a Project thread for your Trumph and a discussion thread in the "project discussions" area.

Cheers!

Markku.
