was a mission to remove the door pins with a hack saw, so hoping to replace the pins with bolts, will use shims to remove the play, thoughts on this would be good...

doesnt have the lock nuts on here.

had to cut one of the drivers door hinges off because it had already been welded on and couldnt fit the hacksaw blade in,

so tacked it up today and im pretty happy with how it fits but will get a second opinion.

got a bit done today, motor in, and few things reconnected,

mm yellow, hate love?

also using a different manifold, which doesn't have the mounting bolts for my accelerator cable, What options do i have for this? I know i can weld a bracket to come off the tappet cover, anything suggestions would be good!

rrv5op.jpg

also have to patch the inner part on the rear. whats best, as in weld from the outside and not grind it back? as it cant be seen once the top patch goes on, and then weld from the otherside(inside the arch etc) and grind that back?

well, its been wofed and reged for a while now, only driven about 800km on the new motor,

but i have a new project lined up, so i want to sell the van, but ive spent an arm and a leg on the motor in it, so im rebuilding a 1300 for the van and keeping the existing motor.

today was productive, dropped the motor out the bottom for something different,

dismantled, cleaned and po15 cross member steering rack struts etc, haven't done the lot yet...

since the last update, i put the 1600 back in, got a wof and took it away camping.

did intend to put sidedrafts on but have since lost interest, so i pulled the 1600 out.

picked up a parts car from camo_78 pulled out the 1300 from it today and put it in the van, also put on a 28/36 DCD carb

managed to get it going, sounds rather good after sitting for a few years.
