2nd round of the Ngongotaha Hillclimb today, got closer to my record of 58.2 with a 59.4 but not close enough. Ended up 3rd overall and 1st 2wd.

It just felt slippery as shit, as you can see in the video a lot of wheel work was going on.

Stage 1-

Stage 2-

These are the first run through, broke the diff in the second. First time on gravel in 3 years, could not get over how little traction it had!. I'm sure it used to put the power down better, will look into a better diff setup.

Time to get back into this thing. After having a look over it I have decided it is past throwing another diff at and patching it up again. It is cracking all over the place and generally just falling apart.

 

So I have stripped it out and will be rebuilding it to hopefully be reliable enough to just take to events and drive hard without worrying if it will hold together.

I have been making a frame to hold the shell and to keep the suspension points located when I cut various bits out. I'm not planning on changing the front suspension points too much as it worked pretty well already although I may go to separate caster rods and anti roll bar.
