oldnrusty Posted January 25, 2009 Share Posted January 25, 2009 New wheels as of just the other day Runnig sweet already sorting lowering block monday hopefully should be in on wednesday Painted up the wheels Gloss Black and cleaned up the hub-cap just brushed on the white wall but think i got the mix wrong lol Whats a good paint? if anyone can help that would be sweet save me repainting them all the farking time 1600cc of raw power!! Loving that 80s brown!! Leaf spring on this side was such a pain in the arse to separate from the axle, was like rusted togeather, in the end we had to drop it down on the drum brake to put tension on it, still didnt let go! so then i smash the leafs with a sledge hammer, finally snapped apart Can see the differance in size, so had to drill out the shock plates and squeeze the U-bolts to fit Re-did the white walls....... ....Came out really good, pretty happy with final result Next day tho, they cracked pretty bad on the fronts, cause i painted them so big the force from turning i think is making them freak-out looked SWEET the day i did it ,and really cant be fuct doing it again, at least not at the moment Next job, lower the front (Running torsion bars so easy fix) not going to slam it but needs to come down alittle was thinking some stencil action (cause pretty much havent had a car that hasnt had some) was thinking with the whole yellow theme maybe some taxi checker board shmit running down the side, and then re-do the deck with some nice hard wood slate acton and get rid of that stupid "King Of Cars" sticker, keep on forgeting to do it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tried to get it all sorted out in one day, but just getting the old crappy ply off turned into a shit fight. So was abit ambitious and maybe cause i didnt get up and into it untill mid-day didnt really help Anyway everyone loves photos so here..... Few Curb Hoppers Was good fun driving around in the wet with no deck, water pissing out ten feet high And rocking that wiring dangling between her legs lol good shmit Gave it all a good coat of POR15 i had left over from the VolksWagen Came out pretty sweet even tho its all gona be covered up, shouldnt rust out on me and considring ive spent a fair bit on the new wood better make it count Just done a secound/touch up coat tonight will post new photos once the decks finish Green Heart, Hard wood timber decking Its GOOD even says so...See Really nice wood, got it all cut to lenght (paid for NO waste), and for what it costs you wouldnt want to, All up was 36 meters worth, Just picked up some nice stainless steel coach bolts today, 102 in total!!! not cheap either. Njoi First one down 6 bolts in.... .....17 plankets and 98 more bolts to go..... 8 plankets, by myself, took like 2 hours!! So thats all i could be funked doing that night.... .... but with a couple of mates the next day finished it off nicely And hadnt really posted any nice photos of this so went for a cruise and got some better ones Still not sure if i want to paint the whole deck frame with POR15, Black deck and yellow cab mite get alittle bubble bee Will sort out that gap later. Deck was exactly 18 plankets wide "on paper", and didnt really fit so im going to get another planket cut the middle out of it and run it down the outsides Loving that mud flap sitting in the weeds... .....So got it home and decided that enough was enough, time for front end to meet some tarmac Easier than busting out the jack Lasy fuck Love this photo, not a big fan of yellow cars (go figa), so im letting it get as dirty as i can Ill be pist off if some one cleans it but mite have to when/if i do this stencil acton Teezer, heres a sneak-peek, as you can see shes on her bump-stops Riding a tad boucer than before reminds me of my old Mazda b1600 Just whipped up some stencil options for the ute paint is the real photoshop, FTW You get the idea Will post photos of it lower during the week Went back to the same place to get some comparasion photos, and will get some of it on the flat Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bit of wank cloud acton Will get some photos of it on the ground so you get a better idea of ride height. Sits so much better, and brougth the back down a tad aswel. bumpy as funk tho but all good fun Still havent sorted out the last bit of wood to run down each side, but will sort it out. oldnrusty Posted August 8, 2009 Author Share Posted August 8, 2009 WOFs up for this beast, so been working onit, doing stuff i know its going to fail on Ride Height Few little rust holes in the floor (really small, pin head sort of stuff) Reverse lights mufflers not doing alot, snapped off just in front of it sounds sweet and two slow leaks in the tyres Our Truck Bay is kinda turning into my garage Looks like someone has done some work on the brakes at some stage, discs look sweet and new pads on the frnt and the master cylinder looks pretty new aswel Crawled under her and sprayed it with some under bidy sealer in a can, That shit hurts when you get it in your eye Surf is the bosses husbands car, asked me if i could bolt some panel on for him, so getting abit of cash in hand for that thats all fof now, will undate for how the WOF goes, Fingers crossed Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Made it look abit cleaner on the inside. there are heaps of patch repairs in the floor, looks as if its sat in a field at some stage, and rusted out the floor. No holes or anything anymore but pretty patching job. looks heaps better, should have gotten before shoots. Found some carpet, laid that down. theres a leak coming form somewhere so mite have to pull it out after but looks good for now managed to make it out of one piece, was such a mission. After i finished this i found a few rust holes in the bottom of the drivers door manly few little ones on the other side as well. so ill pull those off and take them to the panel beaters shouldnt be too much Then get the exhaust welded up, and that should (touch wood) be it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Actually sold this car in Feb, guy couldn't make payments as agreed so I took it back. He had given me his red TE sedan towards it which I swapped to my mechanic for labour on my Chevini... anyway will have to hook him up with some cash from sale of uterus. Guy who has it now is a mate so will keep up with progress for all the websites I have the ute on... Dunno if you guys get Performance Car Magazine from NZ in Ozzie but it was in there last month! Paid me 5hundy deposit followed by $100pw until June- havn't seen a bean since so I am out by $1000. He lives (I believe) in Manurewa. I am looking for info of the vehicles where abouts so I can turn up at his house or work and hopefully get the keys or my money. If I get the keys my plan is to sell on a Trade Me auction at $1000 reserve, and being the non parasitic GC that I am the current owner will get anything over the $1000 I am owed, despite the immense hassle this whole thing has caused... Anyway if anyone has seen it even if it was a few months ago and can remember where I could use the intel! Again, the oldschool.co.nz dickhead award... vote crazytim!
