Picked up my gilmer belt drive tonight, off to tauranga tomorrow to pick up my gbox as its had steel selectors fitted, turns out my W58 is a rare high strength model with a heat treated main shaft :D .

While im over there i will be dropping my rx3 bellhousing and gilmers off to get polished

So it turns out my rx3 bellhousing is a bottom mount starter twin dizzy item so to me it means its useless as it wont bolt up to back of my motor.

Anyways picked up my gearbox from TGA and its been fitted with its steel selectors and dropped my gilmers and chrome end caps off to get polished

puchased a pair of 675cc & 960cc injectors to replace the 4 550cc ones that i have

Finally got my rotating assembly up to auckland balancers

Decided that scotching the engine bay wasnt enough so spent a few hours in there with a festo sander

todays purchase!

Short shifter kit @ $250

That now bumps up the cost of my complete gearbox to $2050 :lol:

heres a little spiel about them:

Brand New short shifter to suit all the Celica and Supra W series gearboxes, W50, W55, W57, W58, W59 and R154 RWD models. Will suit both the steel case and aluminum models. This new short shifter reduces the movement of the gear lever by at least 50% both forward and back and from side to side allowing a quicker more positive shift right through the range.

Unit Comprises

New Hard chrome shift lever (shortened 50mm with original thread)

New CNC machined high tensile aluminum housing

New CNC machined 4340 high tensile steel pivot

New shifter seat bush

New Ball seal

New stainless steel bolts

Written 12 month warranty on materials and workmanship
