  1. picked this up a few months back 5m-ge w55 box picked it up for a pretty reasonable price, was an auto but been converted, interior is grey leather with reclineable buckets. sitting on 16" 5 spokes and adjustable suspension. dont really know what my direction is but hoping someone will start a discussion thread and show me the potential it has, as it is , it is an awesome car to drive . ive thrown it around a bit and i like how it feels, and thats with the open wheeler (have a spare locker sitting aside) can get it spinning 3rd with ease. anyways your interest will be greatly appreciated
  2. ahh so... you know how projects go , all systems go as soon as the new toy reaches your shed , well two and half ish years later the enthusiasm has tapered off somewhat but the project is still here.
  3. So heres the bumper, coated in odourless fish oil (which actually stinks and is hard to get rid of the smell out of your hands) and mounts powder coated, still got to get the coach bolts chromed Before: After:
  4. Im looking into getting some of these in 15x10s and getting the factory bolt on flairs also, maybe 15x8 up front and 10s on the rear, Trucks been lowered and ive just ordered some monroe shocks that a re 50mm shorter than the factory ones. Also will post up a couple of vids out and about in it as soon as they are uploaded
  5. So got the boot painted, pics are pretty shitty, looks better with a bit of natural light on it also sent surge tank off to get pollished. also sent rear bumper away to get all the dings taken out of it and re chromed ($590 later ) and bumper mounts are getting powder coated also
  6. Decided i should get a new daily runner to hold onto for a while, something that would be able to tow my 323 around the country side. 1990 Toyota surf 1UZ FE 4.0 V8 celsior auto box LSD rear end, RWD only Came with standard sur exhaust from the gbox back so put in a 2.5 inch and a muffler to let it breath a bit better also put 5 percent tints allround and 35s on the front windows and chucked in i pioneer mp3 hedunit, tarantula 6.5" speakers, alpine 6x9s, 2 1300w sony explodes and an explode amp and panasonic 1000w amp also Just gona put the side running boards back on and find a tow bar, rear bumper and nudge bar to put it back to factory spec. Also wil chuck some redline oil in the rear to help it twin spin a bit better!
  7. Hey bro, got boot painted and my surge tank and CAS got polished which are being brought back to me today, got engine, gearbox and bumper mounts powder coated along with my sparewheel cover, was ment to put my new discs back on but lost a wheel bearing for the front so have to wait til next week to get another. Also plates have been painted and dropped back off to our engine builder, so yeah thats about all i have done recently. Just bought a 1UZ hilux surf so just spent all my cash on tints sounds and exhaust for it so am a bit broke, got it for a good price and thought it was about time to get my own tow vehicle
  8. Nearly finished suspension set up, just waiting on new front discs to be modded to fit then can sit it back on the ground finally
  9. A little update, just spent another $800 on chroming, did a pretty good job tho brings out every imperfection. One of my tail light surrounds was rust pitted and had bubbled through so they repaired and chromed it which all up only cost $115 floor has been done with bedliner paint (same as what you do your ute deck with) as im not going to carpet it. also purchased a new steering wheel that sits 100mm out than most which is good as my news sat in the way of the old one still finishing my steering off, new idler arm, ball joints, tie rod inner/outer. just waiting on struts to get painted and tie rod thread to be made
  10. you bloody better, congrats to you and Jut anyways
  11. yeah not too bad a price, is the same package as what most of the guys that shop at green bros use. hey gaz atleast this time round i have replaced the wheel studs before they get a chance to fail on me, plus i dont wana break anything cos i dont wana spend the same kinda cash buying stuff i have already bought
  12. 10ib Billet Flywheel $450 Billet HD pressure plate $540 5 puk ceramic plate $300 So $1290 all up
  13. whole set up came from green bros in tauranga , somewhere around the $1100 mark i think, i will go through my receipts and see what actual costs were Tell me about it, anyone know of any reasonable chromers in the b.o.p/waikato region? hah hopefully wont be too bad, being injected they are a bit easier to drive
  14. A few more recent purchases custom made Camber tops for $300 sent these away to get chromed....$267 dollars later dunno if i will bother getting anything else done currently sanding the floor engine bay primed but still going fix a few things yet
  15. 10 pound billet flywheel, billet 1 ton pressure plate and 5 puk clutch
