Guest RS2100
Our Pug starter has just decided to take the'odd' break. The problem has been narrowed down to the solenoid jambing and a tap on the casing sorts it all out. My query is . . . . . . . can this solenoid be taken apart and cleaned up successfully and have reliability or will it now have dubious reliability and hence be replaced with a new unit and be done with it ????? CaMpylobacter
not sure. it's usually worth eplacing the solenoid nowadays though. that said, classically, a tap on the casing of a starter to give life points to worn brushes.
V8Pete
This guy wanted like $50 for a brand new 405 starter. Perhaps if you're keen you could ask on his other listing. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =150038878
