Requiemk
Project Discussion - http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=12419 So i finally acquired the c110 The body is aws condition no visible huge dents paint is a bit rough but other than that great. There is one big spot that needs new steal and few other possible areas due to small amount of work will keep it standard colour for the time being (this will most likely change) It still has the brake boost intact and brakes seem to work fine which is a positive. All chrome trims are either on the car or in the boot, no badges bar a datsun tail light one. Came with a boss kit attached (no steering wheel) Solex door locks and munroe gas shocks. The Plans: Engine: RB25DET, frontmount (hidden) screamer pipe is a must I have acquired a RB25DET from work in need of a rebuild needs new pistons rings possible rebore etc Head is fine only thing that it is missing is the turbos ill try pick up something cheap but if money is good will try to run something like to4e or similar. RB20DET Gearbox or similar rb30s are the same i think but will need to do research. Brake upgrade in some form Then will try go for cert/warrant/reg I'll be buying nothing unnecessary to get it on the road until then I hope.... Anyway enough writing, PICHURS!! Requiemk
Finally got it to my permanent place of living yesterday so work has begun Stripped car down today -all engine bay accessories -all lights/trim/chrome. -interior minus dash 90% done removing sound deadening on floor. Purchasing paint stripper this week and acquiring use of sand blaster within next few weeks taking whole car back to bear metal. Seems to have no hidden rust bar the main area, few areas am yet to check that have bog in them. Current plans are to pick up 260c/240c for engine and drop l26 in it for time being. and get all body work done/painted in unknown colour most likely silver. Near future will be to build coilovers all round for it.
