eke_zetec_RWD
omg, just had it on dyno, 215kw atw on 20psi. stoaked as. got to upgrade to g4 software as the boost control isnt good enough on the g3 to get it mint and flat on 20psi. so just running 12psi untill then. eke_zetec_RWD
ok so iv got engine out and in currently in the process of a rebuild/upgrade. combustion chambers 45cc piston dish 15cc piston dish after machining 13cc got steel h beam conrods arp head, main caps, flywheel and rod botls/studs. ballanced bottom end lightend the flywheel from 9kg to 7.5kg big oil pump acl race bearings through out head now has 45mm inlet and 38mm exhaust valves. (standard is 42 and 36mm) wonder what the bill will be lol finally got driveshaft ballanced! only needed a small weight on one end! gearbox is getting rebuilt also. so its possible that it might stop leaking oil out of all the seals lol. just finished porting the head to suit the new valves. few pics. eke_zetec_RWD
so when i tuned it it wasnt that good, soooooo much blow by on high boost. low boost was fine and made excellent power gains. so anyway its rebuilt again with custom cp forged pistons and bored out to 92mm. rings are also very thin for high boost and high rmp performance. eke_zetec_RWD
all together and running. got a run in tune today. thanks to john for helping sort it. 145kw atw on 8psi. good results. super safe tune with no timing. much more advance to be had. no breathing what so ever so new pistons are doing the trick. was 135kw on 8psi before, different dyno tho so yea. . . time to do some kms now! eke_zetec_RWD
installed the new 880cc injectors(was 550cc), so much fuel on tap now. sickness. new map senser to increase boost above 22psi and i will be sorted. interesting to note, did a quick spin up the road. the fuel curve is no way a percentage change accross the whole map when changing to different injectors. off boost was about -40% while on boost was about -20%. (roughly obvisously) also a new 1 bar wastegate actuator is providing a rock solid 14.7 psi of boost with much improved spool time over the stock vf36 one.
