I picked up a cheap CRX generation 1 for $100

With the 100bhp fuel injected motor and weighing less than 900kg I may look at seing what i can do to get some more power so any suggestions will be accepted as I am usually playing around with older cars. It runs sweet with no smoke and quiet, good gearbox although I may shorten the gear shift and shorten the accelerator travel.

It has PGM-FI does this mean I can make adjustments?

Some things I will look for early will be Pod & cold air intake.

Possible crank the fuel rail pressure up if I can adjust the standard.

Headers and exhaust if I can find some cheap enough.

Possibly a cam grind as well.

I am going to get WOF checked tomorrow after I find an inside mirror for it. I think everything else looks good. A student owned it and the starter packed up, by the time he fixed it it was out of rego and he couldn't afford to fix. He did the right thing at least put the rego on hold for 6 months.

I really dont want to spend more than $500 on car.

I would consider a 2.0si engine but not sure on power etc of these.
