HILUX/HIACE DIFF SPECS

Ok here are some measurements of some toyota diffs that iv got.

#1# 4x4 lsd diff* AXLE LENGTH = 598mm

AXLE DI =33.5mm

HOUSING LENGTH=1M230mm

#2# early non lsd ute* AXLE LENGTH = 613mm

AXLE DI = 32.5mm

HOUSING LENGTH =1M245mm

#3# non lsd van* AXLE LENGTH = 613mm

AXLE DI =34.5mm

HOUSING LENGTH= 1M258mm

#4# lsd ute axles* AXLE LENGTH = 610mm

AXLE DI =34.1mm

i hope thes specs will help any one wanting

to convert to the stronger toyota diff

for my datsun ute i am using a 4x4 housing (#1#)

with my lsd axles (#4#). all the splines on the

heads and axles are the same. im using my 4.8 locker.

I have a hiace diff with differant axles. Are all of yours same count on axles.

Where are you measuring from? mounting face to mounting face or what?

housings wer measured with out axles. axles wer measured from the flat surface wer the 4 bolts are to end of axle. all axles have same amount of teeth as do the heads meaning i can use diferent head/axle/housing combos . ur diff/axles may have come from a toyota dyna van they look the same but i think thes are a bit diferent from the hiace van diffs
