autonerd
Well, the mufflers are attatched and work pretty well. I like the rumble, car alarms dont however. haha 2.5" straight through. magnaflow resonator and straight-through muffler. painted black. 0-bling so here's the problems I noticed today: 1. runs hot but mixture reads rich 2. strange crap in coolant. might be residuals from used rad and hoses 3. coolant slowly disappears 4. car wont shut off with key anymore. hafta kill ign/fuel 5. oil pres gauge jumpy. (from pegged to normal) hafta check ground 6. alternator charging way too high. belt squeals when revving but tension is correct. 7. fuel pump is blowing 5A fuses 8. transmission fluid leak out of rear 9. theres no substitution for a good laptop battery. 10. megasquirt not making enough corrections to meat target AFRs. whew. this may take a while, as I'll be taking a much needed break from the car to gather parts and attack the problems better. Next up: tranny seal replacement wire securing/double checking buy a new batt for the laptop read some more this is how she'll be for a while. autonerd
FUUHCK! i think i had a booboo toqueing down the head bolts and developed a leaking head gasket. car was overheating just a touch and found water in the oil and vice-versa. =bad so i ripped the dam thing off.. then someone told me i should pressure test the coolant system first. oops hedz alreddy off. o well. found a small nick on one of the pistons from the exhaust valve too. its prolly from the head and block resurfacing, so i ordered up an adjustable timing gear to get the valve timing dead zero again, and a thicker head gasket just for good measure. it should be back on the road in no time what it's supposed to look like: on a gooder note, i i got some 2-part brake paint and it actually came out ok i guess. kinda brite, but what the hek
