Ke36
ok boys and girls i am looking at getting my ex lowered in the near future it is my daily driver so there are a few conditions i want for lowering 1.it cant be expensive as any money i spend on this baby means money i aint spending on my other car 2.i dont really want to go to the trouble of shortening my front shocks due to condition 1 3.I want it to be legal as i dont want any troubles come wof time etc. 4.i still want it to look good as other wise theres no point its on 15 inch rims with 195/50s i realise i will have to do something about the rear shocks.wat year mirage do the rear shocks come out of??i assume it is a circa 82 mirage???the gay looking ones how low can i get my front springs compressed without having to shorten the shocks in the front??rxtoy said 3 inches isnt trapped so wat level would be? rxtoy
i already pm'd you about this but i'll chuck it up here for anybody else that wants to know. i had 25 mm taken off my front struts (approx 1") and that trapped my 3" compressed springs. from that i'd guess that 2" compressed springs would be trapped on stock struts but no guarantees. the mirage rear shocks are from the 1st generation mirages, the really curvy ones. mine came from a 79, i'm not sure what year the change over was but i'm guessing 82 would be the same shape. that said the mirage shocks were only just long enough to get my rear springs in without a spring compressor so you might find that they are too short if you go for 2" compressed springs. hope it helps. cheers Matt
Guest DXTACY
hey my lancer is on 15s and sits bout 2cm off the rim at the back and bout 5cm from the front, still has a bit of travel it was running compressed kp61 starlet springs at first then i had to put them back in the starlet to move it so i just chopped the factorys, im using nissan serena rear shocks with a few mods and i got the front inserts shortened 110mm sits farkin low, chassis is about 70ish mm from ground n muffla scrapes evrywhere haha, fully certified though cops get their hopes up when they pull me over then they r like oh its certd wtf
