  1. haha makes sense, gotta see how cool you look driving it aye! but as my first car, I think I should have mirrors that I can use so I don't crash it so we are gonna source out some original mirrors now probably.
  2. cheers for explaining, its not as important at the moment as the wiring and all but it does give me something to do while Dad is wiring it up. Thanks danger for all your part searching!
  3. Is that basically the only way to get around it? I was considering ways of covering/filling in the holes too and was thinking if there was any sort of filler that could be bought to do so but I doubt it would stay in or look good. The translations on that page were brilliant "Please refrain from the tender of nervous because it is very old and it is a new article... The thing that is reflected is all" ohyup. Those are the original fender mirrors for up front, but not for the doors.
  4. That car looks awesome! Had planned on doing fender mirrors originally, but as there are holes where the previous mirrors were (on the door from memory) we decided to place them there so there weren't gaping holes. Same applies for the holes on the guards which my brother reckons will have to be placed over with mud flaps, personally I hate that idea. I would be more than happy to use original rx mirrors, I didn't realise until now what they looked like as those parts went off with cousins car. Guessing they'd look best in the white color of my car?
  5. Google doesn't have all the answers, do you have pics of what you're meaning? sr1600: do you find them difficult to use or could you recommend any others? I believe we are putting them in place of the original mirrors. best of luck, I know from experience how long these projects can take but its so rewarding! you'll get quite a lot for a good 13b I'd imagine
  6. sweet thanks danger, it'd probably be easiest if you PM'd my brother (BDA780) to work it out out of curiosity, does $120 seem reasonable for chrome bullet racing mirrors? I'm probably going to go ahead and purchase them, but was just wondering what your opinions were. would be equally as keen to see your project Gaz!
  7. It was in a poor state when we got it after it had been taken apart by another person and all the good parts got used on another RX3 for our cousin. The ariel and wing-mirrors were unusable so we have to get new.
  8. Yeah agreed, I thought the price was actually pretty darn good for the quality of it. Cheers neo will let you know when done Thanks danger, if its possible could you see if there are front side indicator bulb holders around and we also need front windscreen chrome joiner piece. Thats pretty much everything except for bullet wing-mirrors and ariel which we can get online
  9. Getting it going is priority over the other cars now so its looking good for the 3! Good things take time man, gotta make sure its all done properly first
  10. Its always handy having a family who know what needs doing thats for sure. Karl bought the indicator lenses today from trademe I think, there are suddenly quite a lot of 808 parts on there so we might actually have made some progress! Pretty sure indicator lenses were what we were waiting on, now its just the extras like badges which are uber expensive
  11. Neat can't wait to see! Will 175/50s be big enough for hotwires?
  12. Thanks! Had actually considered the original hubcaps and asked for white walls cos that looks pretty badass however Hotwires are where its at for now but I'll continue to upgrade over time.
  13. Hahaha I got offered by the painters for pink but nooo way. Don't want to be embarrassed driving it round. Nah Andy its not ready unless I tow it along I'm sitting it soon!
  14. I'm glad that is good! Thanks Andy
  15. Chose to not keep modgies, mate gave me Hotwires for free so we are sanding them back to paint them. Painting was done in Avondale though can't remember the name but they are fast and are sweet about if you want to help with the process. I'll have to ask Karl about parts, he's sorting that out cheers
  16. Shot Andy! Yeah we are building it up as a team but I actually did a lot of the sanding/rust killing and prep and stuff myself, even though its hard for people to believe haha. Starting to get back into working on it again so will have more pics soon.
  17. Thanks. Heres my flickr for more/bigger pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/rotorhoe/with/6619184441/
  18. It took me a while to find but here is a picture of the car originally. We had it sitting in a garage for about 4 years I believe for my cousin to race in the states but he found another so finally one day I asked if I could have it if I built it up myself. Did not think it'd take over 3 years but it'll be worth it! Before: During painters:
  19. heck yeah definitely down for the lowering!
  20. Discussion Thread > viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30968 Hey all, thought I'd share with you my little project which has been ongoing for about 3 years now. I present you all my Mazda 808/RX3 4 door 12A Rotary It is being completed by myself, my brother (BDA780) and our Dad. We've done everything ourselves including rust killing, sanding it back for painting and prep, taking everything out and of course putting it back in. Trying to keep it original as possible. If you have any suggestions or questions feel free
