So I failed at Nats, which was pushing it anyway.
Have since moved house and had to save for a japan trip so this sort of sat neglected.
But Japan has given me a lot of motivation to drive it, so have started doing stuff when I find time/not working.
Have pulled the head off to get looked over, new lifters etc. Can anyone recommend and engine shop in Auckland? North shore preferably but anywhere really.
Also while I was in Japan, I visited Mizuno Works, which has always been a dream of mine.
Went for a ride in this. 1GGE, ITB, Mizuno Manifold, pretty much amazing.
But main reason i mentioned it is because I have wanted one of his steering wheels for ages, so got one, a horn button, and gear knob.
Thats pretty much the interior sorted, maybe a few small things.
Hopefully the next update is a bit better.

Hopefully a friend will be turning up in his '68 Dodge Charger. And I will be bringing something a bit different.
I've also learned how to publicise these monthly meets through the Oldschool Facebook page which is great because now the young people who only ever look on facebook for stuff to do will know about our meets, as per the other regions which have been posting their meet/meat details on facebook for some time.
Will that translate to a better turnout? I'm not too fussed as we do pretty well even in the colder months. But the more the merrier and hopefully we'll gain some members.
It's a good idea but the last time we did that it didn't go too well. Might be different this time

Cant just mount the engine a little bit further forward? Would be a lot less hassle i would imagine, and you wouldnt loose much in the way of having the weight further back

Whats wrong with T series gear? Guys with 86s run them, never have problems.

Whats the reasoning behind putting a locked diff in it now with stock everything else?

So I've managed to buy a factory Tehnics head unit for my Mz12. It has a mic port, seeing as I only listen to my ipod etc, I was wondering if I (by I I mean someone much more competent) could modify the mic port to turn it into an AUX port?

Gavins left from what I've heard. And they have recently had some trouble with a big run of lips and there prices have shot up quite a lot.
I'd use Pine Engineering down in Christchurch. Have had a pair done by them and know quite a few people that have had some from him and quality is really good.
