Hey Alex. i second the video idea! I bought myself a truck a couple of weeks ago. Figure I'll build over the next couple of years. $8500 5.1 wheel base, 7m deck. At the mo it's got gullwing sides which would be perfect for my band, but can't keep buying trucks willy nilly aye, so I'll be stripping that off to the deck. Has checkerplate deck which I'm thinking I'll replace with wood, for weight. That's my biggest concern. The Tare is nearly 6 ton, The GVM is 9.1. Although there is quite a lot of heavy in the rear doors and heavy steel in the top for those wings. The front axel rating is 3.6 and rear is 7.7 so I'm not sure how they get 9.1. Anyway, let the building begin. (should be able to click for more pics) Andrew

Hey Alex. Just wondering if you had to get any of this certified? Like welding that back extension bit onto the tray? And if you did, what did it cost? This is an awesome truck. I want to build one similar. I'm hard out saving for a truck at the mo, although i'm a truck noob. Not sure what to go for other than at least 5mt wheel base on two axcels. Got about $7500 at the mo. Studying for class2. There's one housetruck I like which has a top room on the back like yours but with a pop up of about a metre. Keen to do that. I have already started - got my magnetic spice jars, so on the way! Andrew
