I see this thing out and about quite often - Looks and sounds dreamy!

If you can't make it that far, go and see Andy - the guy selling Jialing farm bikes opposite the police station in Putaruru.
He sold and serviced Triumphs/Jags/Rolls when they were new back in the UK.

Sweet! As per comments above, pull the guards as they can go hideously bad aft of the front wheels.
If you're interested in easing up the appetite that these have for head-gaskets with the 1000/1100/1200 engine, and wouldn't mind having a spare 20 odd horsepower in your back pocket, keep your eyes peeled for a Skoda Favorit - Boxy FWD hatch that appeared around '91.
They use an all-alloy 1300 that first made an appearance in the 120L (The rear-engined model after yours) and quite literally bolt straight in, using their existing carb/flywheel/clutch.

The brother-in-law has obtained an FD.
At this point all I know is it has a horrific T-spoiler that he wants gone ASAP - To the point he was too embarrassed to include it in his photo...

Ahh yes, I used to hear you dakdak-ing over the railway lines occasionally from work - I've got the silver CitiGolf (Mk1) that's usually parked next to the railway line behind Van Dyks.
Cool old truck thread for them that like old trucks.....
