Unsure of Escorts, but he does get some 3d printed RX models through, along with big Aussie Fords and all the things to finish them off to whatever level of detail you like.

Yeah, you just use creative accounting to either pay for the fact you've got a high-emitting range on offer, or you get into bed with someone that has a suitably low-emitting vehicle that you can slap your badge on and magically reduce the average emissions level of your range.
Which is exactly what Aston Martin did a few years back by throwing their badges on a Toyota iQ and calling it a Cygnet.

Does he wreck them for parts? I wouldn't mind a set of brass pedals to replace my silver-painted iron ones, and a rare circular keyhole surround (mine is lost and I've stuck a plastic fake brass one on, which protrudes too much). I know I could easily buy a $1 piano to get some brass pedals, but then I'd have to collect and dispose of the thing.
No, purely hoarding them - Despite all advice to do something with them. Same goes for all of her bulldozers/hovercraft/heavy engineering equipment from the 30s to the 70s.

And, the issue lies with someone pulling the plug out without stopping the charger first...
I mean, they could have interlocked it so it's impossible to unplug while power is being applied as per the Kia method but at the end of the day if you want to take the chance at unplugging a large electrical appliance without switching the power source off first, then Darwin has a place for you.

AC for your home charging, DC when out on the public charger network.

It's a slippery slope...
A friend of mine has a shed with 30 or 40 pianos in varying states of repair.

A man of your clever-ness could easily build a 13B - bridgeport or PP will give you all the high RPM's you'll want
Not with today's price tag.
This is more in keeping with the spirit of the late 90s - early 2000s critters flogging their Maketu drill-port 13Bs in the Bay Trader for $500... Except with more science and MS-Paint diagrams.
Cheap(ish) and cheerful, and when it goes pop! Back to the wreckers/Pick A Part.

Unsure of Auckland, but have you been in contact with Mercworx in Tirau? They may be able to point you in the direction of someone local to you.

Mugen supercharged ones pop up every so often.
I was considering one before I got the Rio, but finding a tidy manual one with leather was proving to be tough.

Solo do a conversion kit for their knapsack sprayers to undertake pyro activities.
Unsure of the cost, but not as cool as rolling your own.

Probably the same as motorbikes haha
Tesla owners are probably the ev equivalent of HD owners, too cool to acknowledge someone in a BYD or second hand leaf
50/50 I reckon - The too cool crowd, and the other half seem to be the modern equivalent to people that would have bought Saab 900 new and put a squillion miles on it, elbow-patches on jacket/woollen jersey etc.

Potentially yeah, firetruck crew-cab dropped over something else...
Was at the speedway in Te Awamutu last weekend? According to comments below the pic when I saw it on FB.

PHEV, likely in EV priority mode. They've got about a 50km pure EV range on them.

Suffering from dyscalculia, I genuinely can't understand her stabbings at the calculator but the wife just worked out that even factoring in RUC, her EV6 is working out to be $183 less per month to run, than her Niro hybrid was.
Given that she spent the last 6 years processing fuel excise refunds, I think I can safely trust her numeric ramblings.
