Well thanks to @Tortron I got some brazing rods but after I had the cover cleaned there was cracks up to the kickstart seal.
Took it to my old mate Gazza at turbo care and he welded it up and got a new kickstart seal.
Fitted it up yesterday and it runs.
Todays question is how do I make sure the oil pump adjustment is correct?

Well i can confirm tf cover is different.
When I had my cover blasted, it was full of cracks.
Right up to the kickstart seal so thats no good
-
yeah the bottom one looks closest to what I have.
But still not quite the same
-
Cannot see anything wrong with kickstart mechanism inside.
Maybe if i change the angle of the kickstart, ie align on different spline it might not strike the engine cover?

Found a chap that can weld up the casing if its alloy, he repairs turbos for a living. He has a fella that can help if it is magnesium. I will pull the cover off this weekend to give to him tues.
Next step is to fix the kickstart stop internally.
Pics to come..

That almost looks like the kick starter stop inside the cover isnt doing its job hence the hole in the cover
Will look at this when I pull the cover off

There will be a million old engines out there, usually in bits cheap. I don't have any, but see them come up all the time
Jbweld and a soda can would probably work better than knead it.
Are you still at the same address, do you have a mappgas torch? Il send you an alloy brazing rod. No loss if you ruin it
Unless they are magnesium?
I sure do. And I sure am. Thanks mate!!

This runs.
Is smokey as farq
Wont rev hard but as half the clutch is missing thats not a priority just yet.

So my challenges are
1) reassemble... youtube may help
2) source a clutch
3) prune prune prune
-
Anyway then the pull start jammed and the only way to access it was by removing the motor.
So I have stripped it down.
I epoxied the handle together too
Fingers crossed it holds
However I cannot figure out how to connect the throttle linkage while the engine is in place. And cannot get the engine in place with the linkage connected

I saw a white 2 door k11 with wide wheels go blatting onto vietches rd chch at 7:14 yesterday morning.*
I hope it was someone off here
I waited from 7:10 - 7:20 this morning in case it was someone driving their normal route to catch a picture..
I was disappointed with a lack of K11-ness
