These two bikes are for sale at the garage in hunua.

Both very tidy,  been in storage since 2016.

He wants 5k for both,  or I think 3.5 for the black one,  something like that anyway

If only for the Top Gun factor......but then again, fuck 4 carbs and all that shit.

\Might go look at a Tiger tomorrow with 75k on the clock, what could possibly go wrong....

  2. Using your brain, i dropped my first bike a couple of times learning. Also good that you went naked, save some shekels again if you drop. Once you've got that confidence and skills up, move onto the 'nicer' bikes. The choices that exist now for lams bikes are awesome, i had the boomer 250cc limit and the bikes on offer were fucking average normally, i am envious.

A tired Model 18 will still be appreciably quicker than that Enfield.  The noise mentioned is probably small end of the rod gone oval.

I think a norton of any type has more value than a modern RE lol.

I am Keen on a Merlin / Belstaff jacket, missed out on a secondhand one that was local going for $350, pretty gutted.

Also booked in for the RE open day tomorrow, gonna take an Interceptor 650 for a spin.

Well that was a bit of fun.

not a rocketship at 47HP, but perfectly suitable for normal riding and smooth delivery. My favourite part would have to be the gearbox, I don't think I've ridden a bike with such a smooth gearbox. Also sounds great on what i assume are the stock pipes.

It's made to a price of course and you can see where some elements are a bit budget spec, like the indicators, but the engine and frame seem fine to me.

  5. Not OS bikes, but fuck me, there are a lot of choices of bikes out there.

Keen for a new bike in the new year and tossing up between Triumph and Royal Enfield - Scrambler 400 looks good (keen to see in person next year when they land), Interceptor 650, Speed 900, T100, go back to an older 865cc Bonnie?

Good problem to have I suppose.

    /Ling out.

Don't know where you are but historically if you can find a small town agency the prices will be lower. Most city bike shops with an agency put a surcharge on retailing parts. Often the out of town shops don't due to lower overheads.

Difference between ChCh Suzuki agents and Arthur Burke in Amberly was 20%. Worth an hours travel easily on a crank and piston set.

Protips _b, in Dunedin, will get a price and see how we get on (the front fender / beak has cracked and also want to check the straightness of the front wheel). Also a good excuse to test ride this....
