  1. ooohhh i hope not..... haha well they have only just fixed the bridge a couple months ago and this happened well over a year ago.

i found it quite amussing how prety much everyone on that bit of road knew it was me but they never told the cops... GC

  2. my first decent crash, had just finished putting new steering joints in and had new tires on it ready for a wof the next day, then i had a genious idea to do skids outside my old work after a few drinks, this was the result after drifting into a corner and hit a pothole sideways which threw the car in the other direction..... and hello there was a bridge!

  3. time for an update.....

has been moved into shed finaly so time to get to work on it over winter while i loose my licence.

    havent done alot so far,

    clutch pedal installed.

standard sohc carby 4g63 has been removed.

have started to rebuild my sohc turbo 4g63t 8v starion motor, still trying to sort out a gearbox for it.

decided i want to run adjusties allround in the suspension, for the rear i will make brackets to mount eg civic rear adjusties. for the front i will buy adjustable coilover sleeves that will be welded to origanil struts, but want to get wheels/tires first so i get it sitting at the right height.

have started saving up for the wheels/tires and coilover sleeves so hopefully will have them within the next month and will update again....

let me know what you think of it, it wont be built in any rush at all as im real poor.....

have already encountered a bit of a problem. the manual box from my other sigma doesnt fit onto the sohc turbo block as it is a wideblock and has bigger flywheel. so need a bit of knowledge, will a 2.6 astron box fit onto the turbo motor? otherwise what are my options?

    1983 mitsubishi sigma se

picked it up for $650 with wof and rego and was just down the road.

its a 2litre auto fully nana spec fairly tidy, just a litle bit of rust in doors that needs doing.

thought it would be better to spend money on this puting my turbo setup in this than fuck around fixing the other one.

plans are, turbo engine, manual box, slammed, dished 15s, new exhaust and general tidy up.

    pics to come

  6. left gaurd still hasnt arrived.......

did some skids at my mates cattle yards, but were shit as wouldnt even hold 2nd gear. probly cause had leaking fuel pump and has a 1.6l carb on a 2l motor

so thought i could work on little bits that need doing, swapped ignition barrel, door and boot locks over from the gold sigma as the blue one just had a house key jammed in the ignition when i got it. replaced fuel pump on the carby motor in it as it was leaking. in the process of finding out why the brake lights are stuck on? broken sensor at pedal?.

mum gave me the hard word and said the gold sigma has to go so will be keeping doors, boot, bumper, windows, manual parts and taking rolling shell to scrap. anyone in whagarei area got a trailor i can borrow for box of piss say?

How you found out about oldschool: through a mate i think?

Anything else you want to add: anyone got a straight sigma they wana sell let me know or hit me up if you want some parts

  8. unfortunatley this does have rough tints, fucked paint, 17s and i am a bogan but oh well lets see how it turns out...

i do like the koing rewinds i also seen some 15x8 0 offset sportmax wheels on trademe and reckon they would be sick if they fit.

i should be able to fit 8" wide rears maybe even 9" wide with the right offset as the 17s are 7" wide and theres plenty more room.

  9. let me know what you think of my project, any ideas to what i should do.

ive been woundering wether i should keep the 17s on it or go to a smaller wheel like 14s or 15s but get them about 8" wide maybe? i do have some standard star shape wheels for it which could be widened like what kevinator has done with his sigma wagon?

if you have any parts i need or if you want parts off my parts car let me know....

  10. ive had this car for a while and havent done alot to it so far but do have big plans for it.

i found it on trademe and aparantly all it needed was a new bonnet and gaurd so i thought it was an absolute steal. so did a bit of an impulse buy and kinda stung me in the ass!

it had a fair bit of damage underneath the gaurd and had been panel beated by an amature so all the metal was F*#cked.

but thankfully i have another sigma that i wrote off into a bridge but the panel work i needed was still in goodish condition apart from the left gaurd.

went to go swap the bonnets over and found that the bonnet had flown off in the wind and was absolutely bent. gutted!

so luck isn't exactly on my side at the moment.

i picked up a 2litre turbo starion motor off a mate that had it in his ex lancer. he rekons it smokes up 3rd gear peice off piss so that put a smile on my dile.

also got two advanti 17s on the front and two other ugly 17s on the back, has 25mm spacers to fit front rims sit fairly flush with the gaurds now so looks mint!

when i got it had no springs and wouldnt even get in my drive so have now got standys in it. sits ridiculously high. maybe get them compressed? not to sure at the moment.
