soooo sweet bro,
and all my mates think that starions are ugly im soo guna have to show them this one!!!
its probly just cause they seen mine jacked as haha
-
was the funniest lowering fail ive seen haha, worse than my old van
-
Man, that starion has made the rounds, I remember a few good nights in that thing in years gone past, used to be quite tidy.
What are you doing with the body once you've removed all the bits? Don't let the rego die.
yeah rego will be going on hold, body is very rusty though and will require many, many hours of rust removal to get back to former glory. mite eventuate to something one day but for now i just want the running gear from it. will be getting shed stored of coarse
-
Im after the speedo from the starion if your not using it. Im really JUST after the speedo and nothing else but the instrument cluster is no use to anyone without the speedo.
PM me if you dont need it and how much you'd part with it for.
i do need it bro so wont be parting it, i have a standard sigma one if that works u can have it?
-
cheers man, seats are from a gsrx they mint condition ill get some pics if your keen, theyre black
-
my wagon and another one that belongs to someone who works at harvey norman in whangaz

starion
vs sigma
i think starion wins......
-
no idea tbh i didnt actually measure them, starion has vented disks and different calipers which i would think is beter?
slave was in process of removing pants while also stripping car for a erotic photo shoot but photos were too graphic for this thread....
-
along time and still nothing is hapening to this but on other news there will be work done on it soon as i got this....
only wanted it for the motor and box, front mount, wiring etc.
fucked the clutch driving it home as you do, was a crawl for the last 1km, found out it has lsd tho which is choice
progress may be slow as both cars are getting shifted to a shed about 1 hour away form my flat and probly wont work on them that often until funds get a bit better for travels.
-
so i got this....
got my slave
and took these out of it
alot beter compared to standard sigma brakes.
also starion shocks are shorter by 25mm at least, springs also are smaller.
installed starion crap into wagon then it looked like this
may not look alot lower but it definately is. sill sits alot more even now. back is a bit low, real bumpy on whangarei roads. mite find different springs that lift it about 10-15mm. mite also try the dobis in the front see if it goes a tad lower.
also a new steering device and gear changing thingy
work equips

im sure there was already a discussion thread for this but cant find it?
anyhow how did your lowering go on the weekend aye bro haha
-
Has your wagon got a panhard rod?
Powersteering SHOULD be easy. You'll need the obvious things (Pump, lines and box) but you'll need to also change the steering column. Im eventually going to do the swap to my wagon. CBF at this stage.
You selling parts from the Starion?
i actually havent checked for panhard rod but geusseing it does as diff sit to one side.
sweet well i got all the power steering shit off the starion so will do it some stage in the future also cbf rite now haha
yeah what parts you after?
-
the wagon now has some wagcessories, it has a fancy steering wheel and boss kit, dildo shifter and old blanket over the back seat
i have aquired the starion i have been wanting, front suspension from it will be going into the wagon tomoro and hopefully be lower....
i have noticed that diff sits over to one side after lowering rear so will be hunting the wreckers for adjustable rod to modify into my panhard rod to make it adjustable like in seedy als tech article.
the starion also has power steering which my wagon does not. i would like to convert this but before i dive into it head first has anyone done a power steering conversion on sigma before? would like to know exactly what i need to change over. my se sigma came factory with power steering so i know it will fit just not sure on how hard it will be.

BINGO!!!

not sure if lenght is right but could always ask for different sizes if not.
-
If you chuck your spare parts, you know Murphys Law will come into play........
I hate that prick called Murphy.
^^agreed
i threw away all my spare struts and springs not too long ago, now i could use them...... fuck
-
yeah ive been thinking bowt throwing all my spare shit away too but no doubt as soon as i do ill need them. as its already happend quite a few times
-
the boot of my sedan is full of spare tail lights etc so dont need anymore haha, but cheers for the offer
-
oh yeah after i lowered the rear the car vibrates alot when driving and really gets anoying. would this be baceause the driveshaft is a 2 piece one? if so does anyone have a 1 piece driveshaft?
i do have a spare 2 piece driveshaft i might try to see if it solve the problem but wont be holding my breath.
-
ive got dobi lowering springs in the rear of mine from a rwd 323 wagon but they dont quite seat in properly the id of spring is a litle smaller. and it sits only just off the bumpstops.
yea sweet ill be keen on those vr4 parts mite have to wait till late jan/early feb to get them as ill be moving house then. ive got heaps of sedan tail lights/head lights/front gaurds etc if your keen on any of that i just need to get rid of them to make space.
-
fancy that, is the interior/body panels worth much of this car? just wondering if it is gunna be worth much to part it out.
other option could be get rust fixed for box of brews then sell for max profit with new wof and rego.
and profit could fund making my sigma awesome one day.... i hope
-
would i be correct if i was to say i seen this cruising through coromandle today?
looks awesome bro
-
very nice! i like....
-
nah thats too far for me to travel, its in auckland
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-ca ... 164787.htm
price is i litle high but hes willing to take 2g just have to have a look at it first and try talk him down even more.
but even for 2g its still cheaper and easier than buying parts individually

time to hunt the local wreckers for a pajero 10bolt lsd, do the axles fit into them perfect? eg nothing else needs to be modified/changed?
