    I'm assuming it's totally fucked, if not because of that, but because it was Definately put back together while high

    Took bonneville to Blenheim and back yesterday for a 1hour job for work.

    9hrs in the saddle.

    got paid my hourly rate and fuel card.

    get paid to ride my own bikes.

    Mint.

    in the last few months I have ridden the dr650 to Queenstown, the dr to Timaru twice, the buell to greymouth, the 1400 Guzzi to Ashburton, and the Bonnie to Blenheim.

    another job in Blenheim in a week or 2.

    good times.

    do not get a c50 boulevard. at any price.

    worst bike I haver ever owned.

    camchain tensioners are inside the barrels.

    starter clutches are crap.

    comfy, but shit mechanicals.

    brought another low mileage motor for the one I had, rattled and knocked worse.

    pushed into the back yard and let it rust.

    (only took a winter)

    this was a 40 000 km motor.

    sold if for $1500 or abouts.

    thats my experience with them, have met other people who had the same happen to them.

    Just rode it over the hill.

    its fucked.

    but still runs.

    makes as much noise as an early land rover that spent its life thrashed on a farm.

    clutch is rooted.

    camchain is rooted.

    lots of metal whirring- grinding noises 

    flat spots on the throttle everywhere.

    one of the worst bikes I have ridden for a long time.

    but fixable for cheap.

    pay for a carjam report. it will give the reason for rego cancelation. about $12.

    statutory  write off from insurance means repair cert before anything else.

    last one i did was $851 for the cert.

    then brake cert.

    then compliance.

    then minimum 6 months rego with a new plate.

    if just lapsed, then its just brake cert and compliance.

    and 6 months minimum rego with a new plate.

    Have done a few miles on the dr650 in the last week and a bit.

    last Wednesday ride to Queenstown, did a couple of jobs, stayed at the heritage, did a couple of jobs in the morning then rode back to Christchurch.

    headlight found a rock in lindis pass.

    bugger.

    was going to upgrade to led anyway, $45 from AliExpress - on it’s way.

    first one in 30 odd years of riding.

    went to Blenheim yesterday for a couple of jobs, then back home to Christchurch.

    work paid my hourly rate and paid for fuel.

    got paid to ride my own bike.

    even gave it some 100 octane in kaikoura, that woke it up a bit.

    more miles under the belt is always good.

    suprisingly the headlight is still going with a big hole in the glass.

    50c size hole.

    got spot lights as well, they are better than the factory light.

    and I brought a mini.

    sold 660 triumph, mt03 goes on Saturday.

    ktm390 has been picked up in Auckland, should be here in 2 weeks.

    when all the parts I have ordered for it should show up too.

    my name is governorsam. and thats my story for the week.

    time for another beer.
