  1. The way I understood it is that lowering helps to fix the problem of 'tucking and jacking', since lowering would give it negative camber. Which would mean you have to have alot more body roll or whatever in order to make the outside wheel get positive camber, or tuck in
  2. Took a cruise up to north shore yesterday. Along the was saw a pretty cool galant. had some problems with fitting the wheels and have since spent all my monies on other things. But it can wait
  3. i dont think i'm gonna change anything major really, engine swap at somestage but I have a dolomite 1500 lined up that should bolt straight in. just tried a wheel and tire on earlier and the offset is a bit high. i doubt it would even fit under the back. looked staunch as a mofo but its a no go
  4. Right time to dredge this back up. I've not really done alot, changed the side rear window rubbers, installed a stereo and got my new widened wheels sorted but heres some photos of the progress anyway. I have made up a lowering block for the back but i can't find it. next on the list is new shocks all round made this up to mount everything, was a bitch to get in, in one piece shitty but free and better than nothing wheels freshly sand blasted painted up test fit, should sit nicely got camber? the wrong way even, shits so gang
  5. ohh theres a discussion thread aswell.. now i know Interesting that a couple of you were looking at getting one, didn't think that there was many wagons still around lowering is the plan, will make a block up for the back at work, I'm looking at some gaz adjustable shocks and springs
  6. yesterday was under the bonnet on the search for rust, happily didnt find anything major, just a little bit of surface rust where the master cylinder has leaked and eaten away at the paint at some stage. so i wire brushed and sanded it all back and gave it a coat of anti rust paint stuff. Also just a general cleanup under the bonnet, painted air intake cos i could. found that i will need a new radiator at some stage since the fins are falling apart on mine.
  7. Right so my brother recommend i register and make a thread about my new car. So here I am. I'm not sure how often I will update this but I'll give it a go. So here's my car, 1970 Triumph herald estate. I have a few plans for it, firstly to lower It. Discussion: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=24828
