What Connor said ^^^ The hotwires looked choice however.

I'm fairly sure it's an Austin Healey
Looks like a Triumph TR3 to me

Heres some pics of the Cressida I was on about the other day. One owner since imported in 1983, 2.6 4M, 3 Speed auto, 205,000ks. Full service history, Absolutely Immaculate & original In every way. Owned by an elderly gentleman & his wife. He gave me the rundown of it showing me all the tiniest of imperfections. I asked him again if he would sell it, sadly it was still no. Upon his request I've blanked out the number plates.
I want it

Saw these at the show today. Both looking really good. I see you getting around in the 323 quite a bit. Nice to see one thats been un buchered.

I've got the same issue. I really don't want to drill holes in my gutters to screw it on. I was thinking some sort of gutter mount clamps.

Chin spoiler is out. This is in.

Yes chin spoiler is out.... I'm currently trimming the visor to fit. The Nelson car show is this weekend so I want to enter in that.
-
Shit I hadn't even thought about that!! The visor is way sweeter than the lip.

With the nats looming I've started getting this log ready. First on the agenda was give the cooling system a good clean out. I already fitted a new radiator but It still wasnt Ideal. It seeped water from the water pump gaskets & thermostat housing gaskets & It still got hot randomly. I stripped the front of the motor to find this:
Major Alloy corrosion. It had almost eaten right through. Water was leeching through the alloy. So that called for New stuff.....
And by the magic of internet.......
BOOM!
New water pump, new gaskets, 2nd hand thermostat housing, new cooler 77 degree thermostat & some paint to tidy that shit up.
Next up chin spoiler. I got a boot spoiler for free from the local wreckers. I'll try make it fit:
I also got this sun visor:
Boot is loaded up with triumph parts at the moment resulting in this:
& its still not on the bump stops.
I'm not a fan of the low rear High front look. So I'll have to try get the front down another inch or so.

Can Chris Webby do them in Mot? He seems to be able to do most things.

A chap came into work last week with a 78 Cressida sedan. It was immaculate. Had a yarn with him, I asked if he would ever sell it. He said hes thought of selling it many times but the thought of "some young bugger getting it & lowering it with big wheels" makes him want to keep it. I'll try get a pic of it next time.
-
I had lots of time on my hands today leading to this:
-
Made some effort over the past week.
Boom!
And a brand new radiator.
-
I made this chin spoiler at a cost of $5. I like the ones on trademe but couldn't justify spending $200.
Yellow headlight tint should be showing up in a few days.
-
I saw that. Same as my one. I think its dereg mind.
-
Right this thing is more or less ready for its wof, Rust fixed, exhaust fixed, everything works. She looks pretty rough at the moment. I started giving it a polish but 4 years of oxidization takes a lot of elbow grease to remove.
Back up vehicle for the Nationals maybe??
Half polished. Wheels still need painting & polishing, under seal the guards, stick the door trim back on & other cosmetic stuff.
Took it for a dodgy drive around the block today. I remember why I love these things so much now. Manual overdrive, power steering and straight 6 donk. Fucking awesome.

Ok so after some stuffing around I've found some smaller-ish tyres. 185-55s for the front & 195-55s for the rear. I wanted 195-50's but couldn't find any for a reasonable price.
needed a bit of rolling.
Now wondering if I should bother lowering it.
-
If you can get the original PI injection running right its fantastic....Sound wise. Fuel economy sucks balls though.
-
Glad to see it back on here. If you need any help with the PI / Electronic Injection conversion Hit me up. I helped a mate of mine custom make a Injection kit using nissan RB30 injectors & a link ecu.....and lots of other parts
see here:

As above really ^^ If you cant bolt a starter onto it you can always turn it over by hand on a bar. You should be able to feel if its got decent compression. Still a bit of a guessing game.
-
Shit! The tyres are too wide & rub on everything. So im in need of some 195-50s so clear all the stuff. pics
-
Just bought these 15x8s, 0pt offset, with tyres. Got them cheap as. I have no idea if they are going to fit but thats all part of the fun.
If they do fit I'll be getting some springs made up from cobra & some blocks in the back.
-
Wof time. Last time around I knew the rear spring bushes were fucked. Loads of side play in the slogged out rubber causing the axle to move and do all sorts of queer stuff. So got these from work
Greased them up with the "eze grease." and smashed them in....Flash!
I've ordered some superpro front eye bushes because for some stupid reason Nolathane don't do them! Then I'll chuck it through for a wof this week coming.
Now to deal with all these other heaps of shit

It was on tardme for a wee while. Its got a LD28 in it I believe.

As long as you like it. Thats whats important. Heres a pic of my old one. with 14x7s & 195-60-14 tyres. Gave the smoothest ride & filled out the guards nicely.
