  1. Have you checked all the fuses? EDIT: Grabbed the owners manual out for my 360 see: And
  2. That sound!! I need It! off the clock at 260kph was also pretty epic/ it got up there really quickly.
  3. Spent some time rolling the rear guards so I get no guard rub. I really dont want the fuzz giving me hassles. Also I polished up my hubcaps and stuck them on. Took it for a spin and every time I hit a bump I was getting a loud banging noise from under the centre console. I instantly thought the drive shaft must be fouling on the body somewhere. So I had look and this is what I found:A long screw from the centre console was hitting on the driveshaft. Took the screw out, fitted a shorter one, problem solved!Heres a couple more pics. Pretty chuffed with the way this thing looks.Dat ass. Luxury dashOld school spec smelly & Tiki thingy
  4. Maybe 1, maybe 2, there is a very Nice 850 T5 R that I've got my eye on. The scary part is I cant remember telling anyone.... Are you stalking me Alex??? Please say yes!
  5. Ah yes this is true. And the local flat peakers have no idea what they are, which I also like. I had one guy come up to me & ask if it was a Lada?? haha. I think they are becoming more popular / getting harder to find a good one for cheap.
  6. Haha. I have no idea why I like them so much. Nah I put it back to standard spec & sold it to an older chap from Foxton. Glad its gone to a good home.
  7. Yes I had a look on rimmer bros last night, No longer available. Might hang on to those for a while.
  8. hahaha. It was just good spotting. The Volvo loved towing it! (it actually hated it, poor thing.)
  9. So the old wagon is getting there. Looking pretty sweet, Just need to finish off the guard rolling to make it driveable again.
  10. project thread: http://oldschool.co....triumph-2500-s/ Id like to have it on the road before xmas. Wishful thinking.
  11. Hi Im slacker_sam & I have a Triumph addiction....I spotted this hiding under a tarp underneath a car port. Naturally I knocked on the owners door & asked about it. The guy went on to tell me that he bought it off a older gentleman who worked at the Triumph/Rover car factory In Nelson. So after some convincing he agreed to sell it to me. Clutch master & slave cyl were seized Poured some fresh fuel in & primed the pump and it started after 3 winds. It runs beautifully. So Its a 1978 Triumph 2500 S, Manual overdrive, Power steering & factory alloys. Its got some rust here and there, front screen will need to come out to fix up the surface rust before it gets to bad, but its pretty solid considering its been sitting since 2009.Pics:I pushed it off the trailer/wasted myself trying to push & steer with the door open coming off the trailer.Started it up in gear and drove onto the drive. The wee man loves it.Faded paint.S-spec gauges:very clean motor:Local car since new:Then I found the key for the boot hiding in the glove box. Opened it up and.......Fantastic!! Had a rummage. Quite a bit of New old stock, obviously "borrowed" from the car factory when Triumph when under.Brand new Disc rotors:4x New, still in the bag side repeater lamps:UJ's, OE unipart brake pads, loads of wheel bearings;and much much more!So I have a few things to get sorted:*Repair master cyl, new slave cyl & new clutch hose*Fuel leak from spit fuel line under fuel tank*Rust hole in L/H sill*Hole in muffler*Paint & buff! 12. Your car: Volvo model/year etc: 360 GLT 1986 engine: 2.0L SOHC B200, Injected. performance mods done to car: None 0-60mph Time: 16.3 Seconds
  13. haha that's a really good question. Really I would want to keep it under $200 but as close to $0 as possible. As much as I love sweet rims, I also really hate spending money on rims.
  14. Yes yes! dished mini lites. There is a few on trademe but they are out of my price range. 1 Day i'll come across something.
  15. Yea I need 4x100's with a 0 or negative offset, a hard thing to find as I have a budget of sweet fcuk all. Lowering is almost out of the question in the front sadly as the inner guard is only around 60mm away from the wheel as it is.
  16. I find the Volvo bucket loads of fun. It towed my Triumph from Nelson to Motueka easy as. I had a few funny looks as the Volvo is so small compared to the Trump. I was going to put some rivets in the holes as they are only 3.5mm but in my haste / laziness I didn't. The sikaflex hasn't come squirting out the holes though, I gave it plenty of time to fully cure before I fitted them.
  17. I did see some Pug mounts that could possibly work. I'll see how long my home made ones last I'll keep that guy in mind. Meanwhile at slacker_sam's house.......
  18. Yep. He quite liked the idea of them going on a Hillman Hunter.
  19. Fantastic cheers mate cant wait to take it for a cruise with the rims & low.
  20. Picked up the full set yesterday..... Suppose I better pull the hunter out of the shed, fix the knackered fuel pump & chuck them on. Maori lowering blocks are in order for the rear (bags of cement in a suitcase) until I get the proper ones. Project Discuss: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=34606
  21. Passed 1st pop.... Couldnt believe it. I've been driving the shit out of it. Its so comfy and smooth...... I'm a sad sad man.
  22. Speed couldnt help me out so Fuck it, i decided to drill some holes and fill the mounts up. 1st I squished them down with a large hose clamp, then i drilled 4x holes around the top and filled the cavity up with this sikaflex stuff. Then bake in the oven for afew hours & leave outside for a week to make sure they fully cured. ........ IT FUCKING WORKED! now it runs smooth as. So I tidied it up, painted the faded grille & booked it in for a wof tomorrow
  23. I had a spare 5 minutes so I popped along to have a look. Shiny V8 powered stuff doesn't do it for me but there was some pretty sweet stuff there. Couple of local stock cars: Craig Griffiths Drag rail: 3X Zephyr's Sweet rat rod Some V8 Chev thing...lots of money spent on it by the looks Ferrari 355: Ford thunderbird? Sweet as Ford F150 EL Camino!! Caddy tankmobile: This thing: Valiant Charger: Mustang of some sort: AC Cobra replica: I really liked these old fords: And Flathead V8: Another rat rod: And to top it off a Triumph 1500 TC MK1: Pretty good turnout really. Could have done with some Triumphs & Rovers though.
