  1. I am on bimmersport atm XD. My engine has done 297000k on the original chain etc. Will put a new tensioner on soon to see if it stops the rattle and I will pull of the sump to see if there is anything suspicious and the rocker cover to see what the sprockets are like.

  2. Cheers, I used a mint set of 2nd hand followers and the cam itself was mint but well used. So hopefully they have all weathered well :D It is now the ex-girlfriends car and if it doesn't last I'll be happy, she might sell it back to me... fingers crossed!!! I miss that eski

  3. I have an escort shell which I want to make into a quick street car. I have a mate who had put a SR20de into his mk1, but is running carbs and a modded dizzy.

    I would like to drop a vct SR20 into my beast, but run the fuel injection. How tricky would it be to trick the factory ECU to get it to run in my eski?

    I have driven a NA s15 and is is ridiculously cheap to tun, so would like the same in my eski.

    Has anyone done a vct sr20 conversion in to their oldschool before?

I am just wondering what I should turn my boost down to in my jza70 supra (Auto atm :(..) to get it running as economically as possible saving gas and fines :D I am going to get an electronic boost controller with a switch to flick between standard boost and low boost, so I have the power when want it.

    Is there a formula to follow, I want my boost setting to equal about a N/A with 11:1 compression ratio, so to make about 200ph down from the 280+

    It is my everyday driver, and being an auto, it is hard to stop it coming into boost. So please no comments about self control.

  5. Does anyone know if ZF Fairlane headlight brackets work for converting a standard Xa into a twin headlight (GT replica).

    I know the ZF has two headlights the same size and the Xa has two different size driving lights, but are the spacings the same.

    I do not have a XA GT grill yet, so I cant measure the distance between to compare.

    And ideas??

  7. How hard would it be to get a vvti 2jz-ge running in an old coon auto or manual?

    I have the motor here with full enginebay loom from a gs300 and an altezza one plus airflow meter and auto ecu etc...

    What is the bare basics I need to get it running???

    Any info links etc would be great!!!

    yes there really dont leak anymore they use japanese seals now, and the design of the internals are a lot different and the shock shafts are bigger. These are comparable honestly with tein coilovers now, the quality really is top."

    Are they worth buying new now for sub $1500??

    or am i better going a decent spring/shock combo for a similar price?

    I want the occasional track day capability...
