  1. Does anyone know if Mk2 escort headlights and buckets fit into a mk1. I am in need of headlights and buckets asap, but have only found mk2 ones, will the buckets bolt in or will I have to do some modding??

  3. I have just purchased a Mk1 escort wagon and I am in the process of getting it back on the road. But..... Mk1 Escort Estate tail lights are not pretty, so I was thinking of using Escort panel van tail lights. What do you guys think? Anyone keen to photo shop some in for me??
  4. Cheers, I used a mint set of 2nd hand followers and the cam itself was mint but well used. So hopefully they have all weathered well It is now the ex-girlfriends car and if it doesn't last I'll be happy, she might sell it back to me... fingers crossed!!! I miss that eski
  5. I have an escort shell which I want to make into a quick street car. I have a mate who had put a SR20de into his mk1, but is running carbs and a modded dizzy. I would like to drop a vct SR20 into my beast, but run the fuel injection. How tricky would it be to trick the factory ECU to get it to run in my eski? I have driven a NA s15 and is is ridiculously cheap to tun, so would like the same in my eski. Has anyone done a vct sr20 conversion in to their oldschool before?

I am just wondering what I should turn my boost down to in my jza70 supra (Auto atm ..) to get it running as economically as possible saving gas and fines I am going to get an electronic boost controller with a switch to flick between standard boost and low boost, so I have the power when want it. Is there a formula to follow, I want my boost setting to equal about a N/A with 11:1 compression ratio, so to make about 200ph down from the 280+ It is my everyday driver, and being an auto, it is hard to stop it coming into boost. So please no comments about self control.

  8. Does anyone know if ZF Fairlane headlight brackets work for converting a standard Xa into a twin headlight (GT replica). I know the ZF has two headlights the same size and the Xa has two different size driving lights, but are the spacings the same. I do not have a XA GT grill yet, so I cant measure the distance between to compare. And ideas??
  9. This vvti 2J does not need the key etc, it is an earlier vvti one that has been running in a different car before.

  12. How hard would it be to get a vvti 2jz-ge running in an old coon auto or manual? I have the motor here with full enginebay loom from a gs300 and an altezza one plus airflow meter and auto ecu etc... What is the bare basics I need to get it running??? Any info links etc would be great!!!

  16. Oh an are the vvti 2js weaker? I have heard the con rods are lighter for freer reeving? I am keen to GET it one day...only looking for 300HP...with monster torque ...but that is a while away
  17. It come with two different looms, so I am going to see whats what...it was installed in an altezza for a bit, but made way for a vvti 1uz...so I am guessing it is the GS300 and altezza looms... Have not found a wiring diagram yet...havnt really looked. Need a rear sump and a rear shift position shifter kit..it has a front sump and remote shift atm... OFFERS for those

  21. Yeah, brings up compression, but you need to port it out to get it flowing like a 2L again.

  23. Yeah, I am considering 55s on the back, just they are not all that common anymore...Coopers are not being super helpful either BFGs are 315 each for either size... just checking my options. Refer to pics in my 1 of my posts for the look i want
  24. Yeah, but 60s are a lot lower profile than 75 and less sidewall will mean less bulge. Heap of people in America are running similar size tyres on their mustangs stock rims. When I get some extra cash, I should get the 6s widened to 10s , depending if the offset of the 8s fit on the front of my coon.
